Today my French lunar rooster finally arrived.

Can anyone shed any light on this French series as I think I've completed the series. 2006 when I think it started was BU with a mintage of 10,000. Around halfway through the series it went to proof at 10,000 mintage then dropped to 5,000 mintage at proof.

It seems like a strange way to run a series and it'll be interesting to see what they do next year.

£160 premium on a gold set ....the 5oz silver are going at £1000 premium not to mention the 1oz.

These rarely come up for sale and usually snapped up..

These arrived today from gs.be.

Very expensive for what they are but you don't see them very often so had to get them for my collection.

Really like the Matt finish and a lot more detail than I was expecting. ?

Interesting set of God of Wealth/Monkey 5g silver notes.  No idea where it comes from so will have to get my parents to translate some of the writing.  Outer sleeve and then a book holding the notes.
