My 3-coin 2017 sov set came today from @arshimo2012 many thanks. I don't think the coins are totally perfect, they seem to put more effort into the box, which is very nice :P. The box manufacturer/team should send some of their guys to package the coins.

Also a few 1/10 2017 elephants, 1995 proof IOM angel 1/20

Then a half sov 1843 weight, I had few glasses of wine and not sure really why i bought it, it's just interesting :)

Some new silver - a Scottsdale Reserve 10 oz bar ( just love the design of these!). Bought on the dip.

And some old historical silver - a US trade dollar from 1878 and the San Francisco mint. I have a few Morgans but this is my first Trade Dollar.  Intriguing history as 1878 was really the last year these were made for circulation and the first year that the SF mint started making Morgan dollars. So it's a transition coin.  Picked it up for under £40'- which I think is pretty decent, although the condition is well used. One of these coins that could tell a few bar room stories from the 1880s  I reckon?

Looking at the trade dollar I would just put a magnet to it - to see if a fake - a lot of these are showing up in the US and Europe - If it is real nice pick-up.

Thanks, they were taken with a Sony A6300 + Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro G OSS. Could take even better photos with this lens if i had more time to experiment!

Decided to splash out for a case in the end.  You'll need one for your 1/10th Brits too :)

Nice case @sg86 Where are these sold if you don't mind me asking?

Mastercoincases, but the leatherwork isn't "standard" anymore it seems due to the cost in producing it, but even the printed fronts are probably decent quality. @morezone knows more than me!

Impact coin. Just received a PowerCoin Guy Fawkes Mask. 1oz lump of metal with attitude. Cook Island with the Queen on the opposite adding to the "vibe". High quality finish and pressing with a ceramic and black finish and smooth well defined immaculate lines.Think Punk Romance. It's a Tank Girl vibe....

It's old meets new. It's the one that grabs your attention but couldn't care less if it didn't. It takes tradition, throws it up in the air to see where it lands and if it bounces.

It is a seismic change in the way coins are produced. Some may dismiss the coin itself as a gimmick, which it may well be. But the technology behind it is here to stay.

For those too young, here is Tank Girl.
