Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

I can not find, sorry.

On Casa de Moneda Mexico website your medal is too old to be mentioned in their archives. I suspect that if it was, the mintage won't be specified, because at similar medals for 470yrs, 475yrs and 480yrs the mintage is not written.

I have found a similar 465yrs anniversary brass medal with certificate on WorthPoint and as expected, the mintage it is not mentioned.

2014 'Unfinished proof' / 'mule' / Half proof Half bullion Sovereign

Thought I'd try something different, to show off the two sides

Of course every spec of dust and dirt is visible.  Anyway, an unusual coin from @andrewse

Is that a Galapagos tortoise?

I wish! That would make the silver bar about 50kg I reckon 😂 He’s a little Hermann‘s 👍

Two parrots were sitting on a perch. One said “can you smell fish?”

I bet OP wishes it was.

The Sovereign is the quintessentially British coin.  It has a German queen on the front, an Italian waiter on the back, and half of them were made in Australia.
