Finally received my Snowman order from The Coin Connection. It was delayed as some of their initial shipment didn't meet their quality standards and they were waiting for replacements. The coins are in beautiful shape and I'm very pleased. I will definitely be buying from them again in the future. Thanks @Numistacker for the discount code.
2 silver Snowman 50p proofs and a gold proof.

Holy c**p! $5145.00 for the gold. I was tempted, but had to exert some self control and ordered a silver instead. Beautiful coins!

mr1030, that gold type set is off the charts! It looks so classy in that Capital holder!
Thanks @AUstacker. I remember buying those Capital holders for single coins 40 years ago when I was a teenager. I had no idea they were still around. My friend at the LCS has quite a selection of Capital products and recommended it to me when he saw that I had a weakness for pre 33 gold.
The only bad thing about it is that it is so cool looking, you want to have it out on display, but you don't dare for fear of a burglar making off with it.

I was able to get one despite having to reload the billing page at least a dozen times.

Visited my LCS today and picked up two sets of U.S. Modern Commemoratives. A 1983 P, D, S BU Olympic dollar set. And a 1983-S and 1984-S Proof Olympic dollar set.
And a 2016 Laos 2 oz silver with jade ring Lunar Year of the Monkey Proof. This one was outside of my knowledge base, but I really liked it. I think I got it for a good price considering the low mintage.

What is the quality like for the airtite tubes? I have seen some reviews of the bottom of the tubes not glued / connected properly or not being strong enough, maybe they are rare cases.
I've bought many Air-tite tubes in various sizes, A, H , T. and X, and all of them have been of great quality over all. I've only had one fail, and that was after i dropped it and it was full of 20 oz of silver in capsules. It landed on its bottom edge, and needless to say, the bottom seam didn't take the impact well. But that was an extreme impact. I've tossed them into boxes, into the safe, dropped them and they landed on their sides, and the tubes have held up fine.

Finally !
This is not exactly a pretty coin but it certainly is expensive for 5 ounces of silver.
The illusive "Hawaii Volcanoes" from the America The Beautiful series.
I've been monitoring eBay USA for over 3 years and was fortunate to find a seller who didn't default to the rip-off Global Shipping Program.
Very happy with what it cost me only frustrated that it was serious doubloons per ounce compared to others in the ATB series.Set is now complete and I discontinued collecting the later series after I released how many coins there would be.
Congrats. That is certainly the high mark in the ATB series. All of the 2012 issues are pricey due to the low mintages that year as a result of the run up in silver price back then. If you don't mind my asking, what years did you complete your collection with? I'm trying to complete a collection myself and slowly picking up the early issues that I am missing.

Very nice CG! I love U.S. $5 gold, old and new. A great sized coin that has a decent amount of gold in them without overly denting the wallet.

Excellent closeout for your type set! The $3 Indian Princess is in superb condition!
Thanks @CadmiumGreen! Yes I was very pleased with the $3. My LCS was holding it for me for quite a while while he tried to find a Type II that I liked. I have been waiting months to find a Type II $1 that I liked. Chose the AU one pictured as they start getting silly expensive once you hit AU. To go up to an AU 58 would have increased the price 50%. I love this set and the holder I put them in makes a nice presentation.

Finally picked up the last two coins I needed for U.S. Gold Coin Type set. It took me over a year to find examples of all the coins that appealed to me. Pardon the dust in the last two photos. My work office ventilation leaves a lot to be desired.
An 1854 Type II $1 and an 1855 $3. Also bought a 1786-M Louis XVI French silver Ecu.

@richatthecroft Congrats on the centanario! I love them. They give you such a satisfying heft when you hold them in the palm of your hand. Add to that a very attractive design, and you can't beat them for low premium old gold coins. You have a very attractive looking example there.

The owner of the LCS I frequent opened a second shop about 30 miles from my house. It was opening day today, and since it was my day off, I drove over to check out the new store. I took over a six pack of beer as a store warming gift, and planned on making a modest purchase to celebrate the new shop. Of course he put a more significantly priced item in front of me that he had recently purchased that he knew I would have a hard time refusing.
1989 Double Sovereign. No box or COA, but he gave me a great price on it. And also bought a nice 1891 Jubilee Shilling.
And I ended up being the first paying customer at the new store.
Today I Received.....

Another Black Friday purchase arrived today. 2019 1 oz platinum Britannia. My first plat coin, as the rest of my platinum purchases have been in bar form and I rarely find platinum coins on sale for a low premium.
