A box full of slabs for my sovereigns & 1/4 oz coins that don’t get sent for grading.

I get similar for my 3d's. Just need to sort my labels out

Yes, @Roy that would be nice, probably more by luck than judgement! There won't be an Edward VIII involved though.

They are lucky dip , or should i say  unlucky dips , that's 3 x 1982 half sovs from my last two orders .

Cashed in my last bitcoin this week for a 1910 sovereign from sharps, Melbourne mint, bullion condition. A sovereign made from thin air on my office pc who would believe it. 

I also received a 1965 sov from chards, ef condition.

Various pickups have been popping up lately. Really like the britannia set. That cal fractional is tiniest thing I´ve ever seen. Pretty cool but probably not for me so might pass that on.

Irish silver seems hard to come by, but I manage to snag some at or just over spot here and there:

 

 

Sadly some of them have the dreaded green gills, from being stored in ye olde pvc plastic flips or folders, I assume.

Anyone know a decent way to clean off the green? I don't especially care about causing a bit more wear on these coins as I'm not one for grading, but I'm hoping to learn a way to clean junk silver that doesn't leave it a blatant brushed-metal matte effect.

If anyone is selling 'scrap' Irish silver coinage, feel free to message me.

Hope this helps as far as I know/can tell the green "gills" are from the copper build up

Cheers, yeah it's some kind of oxidisation of the copper in the 25% alloy that isn't silver, from improper storage.

I'll try a few things.

Something a little different than lots of shields, I finally achieved my goal of getting 1989 and 2002 BU and Proof Quintuple sovereigns.
I know everyone collects single sovs, but boy do these coins look so much nicer in 5 sovereign! The 2002 proof arrives tomorrow so will photo that then
