Surely its only a good thing recycling these old phones, etc.

The trade section certainly relies on trust in the two parties engaged in the transaction. Trust to send a stranger money and trust that that stranger will send the coin. Then further trust that it will be recieved without issue and acceptance that the transaction is then complete.

Aussie gold hunters was a much better programme. What I thought might be a UK version failed to meet my expectations and was more about the local people than the search for gold.

I haven't bought silver for at least 2 years now as I got deep into crypto (what am I still doing on a silver forum aha!) but even before that i'd switched into gold because of the milk spotting issues. The thought of paying that huge premium for the 1 Kg silver QB completer and losing it all due to spotting a few years later grrrr..
I have to agree, the milk spotting, high premium and of course the tax forced me out of silver.

I went to Turkey in 2008 and the locals preferred to take Pounds than their own currency. I asked them why and someone said its worth more. They save them up and then take them to an exchange at the end of the season and convert back to Lira.

I was once directed to gold.co.uk by bullion by post when a coin was out of stock but in stock with gold.co.uk
-
Now out of stock at the Royal Mint
-
Just ordered one from Royal Mint direct. The tax is a killer!

Gold stacking is addictive. You know you've got a problem when you start sleeping with it under your pillow.

I would only buy coins that are actually 'in stock'. As newbie avoid those that say 'orderable'. Clearly you've been looking at Chards but they do charge delivery so that increases your overall costs. There are better priced dealers out there with free postage. Sharps pixley looks good at the moment but do your own research.
