Hi! I was wondering if anyone could tell me his/her opinion on how much a full set of QB proof gold 1/4Oz will cost in about 1-2 years (when the rest of the coins will be released)? Assuming the spot price will be around £16000 per oz and they all come with box + COA (mint condition). Also, would it be better to grade them? Thanks for opinions/advise

I think you might want to edit your spot price..£16000 per Oz seems a little optimistic 😂

On the us market indexes which I’m talking about here the breakers kick in at -7% and -13% in a single day’s trading.

a crash is defined as a 10% loss in two trading sessions.. so if they stay at -7% and they lose 3% plus tomorrow that’s a crash..this is 18.37% in 14 trading sessions so this is still a correction to a bear market which starts at -20%

As for the banks being bailed out if you mean via repo rates I would disagree, repo has been used to allow banks to lend money to pretty much anyone including a large number of speculators who gambled it on the U.S markets which suited Trump And Co Down to the ground.

And lower interest rates are terrible news for banks this massively impacts their profitability.

I don’t see gold doing much off the markets going down further until a recession begins because it’s credit defaults that will drive the fear.. This is where you will get gold appreciation when the money printing is fastest and all the ridiculous ideas are dreamed up..

    QE extra time super sauce..

    more debt for poor people

    helicopter money..

    Cash for clunkers

    Free money for banks

Free money for rich people to gamble on the us markets.

    etc

    etc

    etc

I have no argument with you that Worldwide, governments are full of 5h1T. this is readily apparent to anyone with functioning eyes....

At last...someone who really knows what they are talking about..a great post sir (I assume sir).

I was day trading today, and at one point could not get a price to short the Dow30 using a CFD...even though we were not at -13% as you correctly pointed out in your excellent post...no late rally at the close either today...

I wonder if the average Jo in the USA realises that the Repo window is also open to, and used  by ‘Foreign Banks’..one particular Hong Kong based bank is one of its biggest customers I hear!

    George Gammon...on my subscribed list,👍

This bull market is far from over, it is merely beginning. To have a better view, look at the long term chart. I'd venture a guess that within 5 years from now the price of gold would be double what it is now. You can print this out, date stamp and hang on your wall ;)

Hi..when I said the bull market is over, I did not mean for gold..I meant for equities...as to what will happen to the POG who knows...If the playing field was level, gold would have rocketed today but it didn’t...it is a crooked market for sure...

 The bull market is not over at all.  Patience..

I have all the patience In the world....I have traded for 30 years...but we are in unchartered waters at the moment...a lot of people are about to lose an awful lot of money imho...just make sure you are not one of them...

  5. More Una Libras acquired today, two are worthy of additional comment🤔!

The 1915 below has no assayer mark (which would usually lye to the right hand side of the date). When graded by NGC, this will be the first and only one in the registry.

The only 1915 graded by NGC has the assayer mark PVG.

According to Numista, other assayer marks for 1915 exist :- PMGG and PVH but none have ever been graded..these coins are so rare, which make the hunt for them even more enjoyable😀. (Mintage for this year is unknown)

The 1907 below also has an unknown mintage, but as four have been graded by NGC, may well be a higher mintage than the 1915 above.

If at first you don’t succeed ...it would appear the ‘7’ in the date has been struck twice as has the ‘G’ in the assayer legend.

    Yes, different weights too!

They are not really coins though?

Did you find out the Swiss connection? I'll look later when I'm free

    Hi...I didn’t know of a Swiss connection, but I do now😃 (Googled it)...they were minted there!👍

Add these to my list of ‘Wants’...I bet Alun could make a nice case for them as well!

You will soon have a wonderful and complete date run- thanks for sharing- fabulous collection you have already.

If only! A complete date run of these is just about impossible to achieve. Several year dates of the Una Libras ‘do not exist’ any more. I only know of one 1959 (and I know who owns it!), but there are several dates which have never been seen, or graded by either NGC or PCGS..that doesn’t mean they don’t exist...but it doesn’t bode well for my OCD on wanting a complete date run😂. But I will do my upmost best!😃👍

  8. Just picked up 7 more Una Libras (see Today I Received), but this one deserves a special mention.

It’s hard to notice on the photograph, but this coin is quite a different colour to the rest. It seems to have a dull greenish tint to it, when compared to the rest, maybe from copper???

Also happy to have got the first year of issue 1898..not in great condition but just had to have it😃!

Maybe the person encapsulating thought the shield was so nice, it should be upright... I had coins in NGC slabs moving during transport (usually soft 24K gold so i guess they are a bit less firmly gripped) but a sovereign spec coin shouldn’t move, hopefully 🙄

    Not in this case 😂
