It might be a bit of debris, mine came with a loose capsule and very similar stuff on it that I was sure were scratches but blew off with a desk fan
The bit of frosting missing on the dress is pretty much standard for the RM

So what would happen if we have a long term uptrend, starting from 2000-2002
This is my long term picture
Your first line should almost always be under everything (2020 March be an example of a time not) if it's truly a line of support
Then you want price to bounce off it multiple times to confirm it
Then if you can paste it in above and it fits it's usually right

I still think we're in the period highlighted, something will happen to kick gold on to the next leg up, probably come down more in the meantime
It's that or the world just opens up out of covid like nothing happened, all the jobs come back, all the new heavy debt doesn't matter, all the businesses lost and struggling just spring back to flourishing

This is TLT (30 year US bonds) and Gold
If bond yields continue to go up expect gold to come down
I wouldn't be shocked if it comes down another 5-10% in the next few months but who knows, will depend on the new normal - how well the vaccines seem to work and how optimistic people are on global economy recovery
I personally think at some point this year an event will happen or a signal will appear that things aren't going to get back on track and that's when gold will kick on but who knows

The sovereign, one of just two in private hands, is Henry VII and is likely to be over $1m
details are here. https://www.coinnews.net/2021/02/12/royal-mint-to-auction-ngc-certified-henry-vii-sovereign-on-march-4/
Just as a small aside I'm descended from Henry VII
My grandpa was part of a Scottish clan which someone set up a genealogy page for, you can trace right back from my grandpa to Henry VII who married his daughter Margaret to James IV of Scotland

Please tell me I am missing something - the Britannia Horse mule was fetching £2,000 in the first couple of weeks but now lucky to get £60 so is there a disappointment heading to many buyers ?
Sorry - just don't know but prices seem crazy to me.Lets compare a spade to a spade
Has there ever been a popular proof release from the Royal Mint that was very well received, gained a huge premium then dropped off to nothing?
Maybe a SoTD sovereign or two? not that they dropped off to nothing but if I remember right the Brexit ones initial prices was £1000+ on Ebay and now you could maybe hope to get one for ~£700
A more direct comparison to the Thee Graces though the Una seemed to just go up since release
I'm personally very happy to hold these coins indefinitely and see where they go, I might actually start a poll to see what others are planning

Thank you very much, I do appreciate your time.
You could use a company like transpact? escrow service, if trust is ever an issue for either side
You can write your own contract and they're very very cheap fees
I've used them for domains but you could use it for anything

Oh my goodness my stress levels are through the roof. My order has now moved to the closed orders section with the total still showing. According to current consensus, am I still receiving the coin?
I believe so
Mine is the same but no tracking info as of yet
If it gets cancelled now it will be ultra cruel hey lol

My order has been dispatched too according to their website but haven't got an email saying the same or any tracking info
Don't feel like I can celebrate too much because I feel bad for those who got theirs cancelled

I think I'd have had as much chance if I logged in ten minutes before launch.
I had to click something to agree I wanted my place in the queue
Not sure exactly what the message said but If I wasn't looking I'm not sure what place I would have gotten despite opening RM up at 8:30 to wait
-
Hope you don't mind me tagging you @LawrenceChard but were the three graces offered to dealers? or kept exclusively for the RM to sell
Thanks

If mintage is around 3000 then 1000 of these or more must be with the dealers
so around 2000 left I assume
also we need to consider the few hundred who are lucky enough don’t have to wait in the queue
so if you are 2400 then you are quite behind
Did any dealer actually offer them for sale at RRP?
Isn't the point of dealers to help sell the coins not to be a roadblock between the mint and customers

After all the happy posts yesterday this is horrible
3500 mintage and forum members being you would think the most eager on the ball buyers, very surprising we weren't all able to secure one

Maybe they're going through it and confirming orders by first attempted (but failed) order? rather than actual order
First attempt: 9:02
Successful: 9:10
What times were you guys?
-
woman on the phone was weird..
She said yes youve made an order
I said yes does that mean my order was successful?
She said "id say so"
Well lets hope then!
She didn't seem to want to say anything though, very short answers and hesitant to say it was successful so I feel like I still might get bad news

No I'm scared but I guess I will do it now and report back

Why is gold so precious?

It's all about money
Lets say for every hour you work you get one pebble
That pebble represents an hour of your life you gave up, you can swap it for food or if you save up enough pebbles you can swap them for larger items
Whats good about the pebble is you don't have to spend it right away, you can work your whole life until you're not as physically capable, retire and still have thousands of hours of work saved up in pebbles
To have a civilised society you need money to facilitate trade and to be able to store and log your hard work
You can't use pebbles of course because you can find them anywhere, what's not just anywhere? gold
We can all agree we need money and we can all agree gold is perfect for it, that's why it has value, the value is the tool of money
Its obvious why oil has value
It's obvious why electric has value
Money is just as important to humanity that's why gold has value
