I knew it would work out, but I'm surprised how quick it was!

I got all the paper work and photos sorted out as soon as Ebay messages were coming in 😁

Thank you for your helpful tips Paul , getting hold off that tracked item label Christmas card was key to getting this sorted otherwise I would have been stuffed 😃

Great result. Without locating the dodgy label would this have been game over and the scammer wins?

This seems really important. It would be great if Royal Mail could do something about this, like making a record of parcels that are delivered with address discrepancies (If they don't already do so).

In the event of a discrepancy, they will always deliver to the address written/printed on the parcel. Obviously, they may not want to increase their administrative workload, but if they were made aware of this type of scam then maybe they'd be inclined to record this information and have it accessible to the sender, who paid for the service.

Thank you Chris yes the stress levels were very high I almost had to book a visit with my GP but calmed down during the day. And after starting the process with Ebay I felt back in control of things.

I think we can all agree that this was very personal to all of us.
Fantastic news👏

You have probably saved a few E-Bay sellers a few quid. They chance it on something small before taking a higher value item. It’s now hurt him in the pocket and probably lost that account and address is ‘marked’.

For members here-his user name? because he’ll try again.

He used a Best One convenience store as his parcel drop off address , so difficult to trace him that way. Also just checked my orders and looks like Ebay have payed his refund which seems strange or maybe they are investigating further and are holding the funds . His account is still in use.
