Ive got a number of fondling pieces, this is a beautifully toned (rather than horribly tarnished) silver shield round, complete with a couple of delightful dings.

I’ve read this thread numerous times and didn’t contribute as I didn’t think I had a pocket piece but actually realised I do haha

my pocket piece consists of a holed 1949 half dollar slung on my work keys.

better late than never.

Hello all,

It’s a phrase I’ve heard a few times now since I started stacking silver earlier this year.

‘Pocket piece’ - Apparently it’s when you carry a piece of silver (or gold) around with you, in your pocket.

I think I’m going to start doing this, as I often want to look at my silver coins but it’s a long process getting them from storage each time just to do so.

I’m going to pick a coin over the weekend to keep with me at all times 🪙

What are your thoughts on this?

Do you have a pocket piece that you carry around with you?

If you do, can I see it?

My first thought when seeing the topic name was to wonder what @HerefordBullyun would respond, although a few others seem to have had similar thoughts.

A few years ago, I used to carry an 1847 USA Large Cent,  except that this one had been altered, slightly clumsily, so the the reverse lettering had been changed from

ONE

CENT

to

ONE

C*NT

There is more about it here:
