Very nice.

I have a couple of old UK sterling silver coins (a Victoria Old Head shilling and an Edward VII florin) which had probably been kept in leather purses or wallets for several years of their existence.  The shilling has almost a black tone, whereas the florin has a purple, grey and black tone.

Your coin will probably darken more over time, so keep it in the wallet if that's what you would like. Otherwise, put it into some other packaging (or keep it loose) once you've achieved your desired tone.

Here's the florin - it's a 1905, so quite a rare and valuable coin:

That's a great florin. I love these Edward VII florins - actually I like all the Edward VII silver coins (that aren't threepences).

I didn’t realise it would get darker, I think I’m going to capsule it now then as I really like the tone it currently has!

@Petra has a point though, @Shinus73 - you have a German car (the Audi) and it might make more sense to put your German bar on the car key?

Either way, nice pocket pieces you have there.

That would work, if Engelhard wasn’t American. 😃

Well, if someone tries to nick it from you, you can always just scone them with it.  I carry Thinkpads.

The Sovereign is the quintessentially British coin.  It has a German queen on the front, an Italian waiter on the back, and half of them were made in Australia.
