Today I Received.....

A few silver pickups - a PF70 Unicorn, some more Scottsdale cast bars, and bought in a local coin shop in San Diego today - a couple of 1 oz bars.  Can never really pass up an old Engelhard bar for $19.! The Northwest Territorial also quite neat.  Interesting story behind that Mint and how they went into bankruptcy for defaming someone.

Picked this up the other day and put it in a bezel and chain. My new daily hardware  its a 1/4 oz Gold Nature Nocturnal Hunters Series with the Jackal. Had my eye on it for a while.

Today i received these Chiwoo Cheonwang I & II but i'm very disappointed. When they arrived  i noticed there was some liquid in the capsule. As you can see the first edition has some serious toning around the edges. Now i know why the seller only accepted wire transfer and no paypal. Last time i buy coins on Ebay like that. Anyone maybe has a fix for the toning on the edges? Would be much appreciated...

Here goes but a warning this can cause scratches.

I remove milk spots with a bit of toothpaste and gentle rubbing under dripping water. Anything more than gentle rubbing would leave scratches. I wouldn't recommend this for any proof coin, perfect for bullion coins that don't have a frosted or matt finish.

I have tried to get milk spots out of some of my Perth mint sharks and kangaroos but the spots don't clean off well if they on a matt finish.

Canadian maple coins older than 2014 clean very well with this technique.

It can leave tiny scratches that can be seen under a loop with good lighting but it removes those milk spots so I guess making a big problem a smaller problem.

Recieved my grades from PCGS for some of the coins from the last DNW auction.

Am very pleased with the grades.

Only sent in two coins from the 1902 set, will send in the rest later.

4 Proof Krugerrands back from NGC.  

Original bought 6. 3 from Coin Portfolio and then an additional 3 from Westminster Collection because of delays with my order from Coin Portfolio and didn't want to miss out.  Westminster coins arrived first and 1 went back for exchange.  Coin Portfolio arrived later and 2 coins went back for a refund.  Before I'd even received my coins they were already telling people they were sold out so I thought there was no point in asking for an exchange as there would have been a good chance I would end up with someone else's return.  I know that one of my returns did end up with a forum member here and there was no way that should have been resold as the coin  was scratched.  4 coins went in for grading and I wouldn't have been surprised if they'd come back with super low grades.  Ended up with 2 69s and 2 70s so not too bad.  Not sure if I'm going to bother keeping any.

Received from Backyard Bullion.  Bought as a gift for a new- born, but, now that I've seen it,  I may change my mind and gift some Bullion instead....
