  1. I am currently living in Germany but I will let you know when I fly back to Lisbon! Cheers!!
  2. My reaction to read such an awesome post from a fellow Portuguese!!! Although I never bought anything from TSF, I totally agree with you. I am not so often logging in this Forum but every single time I needed answers, there was always someone around to help. Grande Abraço e um bom fim de semana!
  3. Hello everyone! Just thought about giving an update on this topic. I went ahead with buying that US Mint box specifically for this damaged 1986 Proof ASE coin. Could not be happier with the result. This box cost me 8€, but it was damn worth it in my opinion Many thanks and have a great weekend!
  4. Thank you all for the great comments! Then I might get the separate US Mint case just to keep it in separate, as a "special" piece for myself. https://www.silberling.de/Zubehoer/American-Eagle-Etui-Silber-1-oz.html Back in my home country (Portugal), unfortunately there are not many Silver Eagles availble for purchase. One mostly has to buy from Spain, with some hefty premiums and transport costs. Who knows! Thank you!
  5. Hello fellow stackers! I start off by wishing you all a great 2024. I have one of those "good" problems to solve, which I would ask your opinion. Just this week I ordered 5 Bullion American Silver Eagles, since I am gradually completing a tube. To my surprise, the dealer sent 4 bullion, plus one 1986 Proof Silver Eagle ("S" Mintage). However, this Proof coin came without the box or certificate. Probably that was why they sold it to me as a normal Bullion. I would love to maximize the "collectible" value of this coin. What should I do?
  6. Well, I just ordered from the dealer 5 Silver Eagles, because I want to finish a tube. Of these 5 coins, 3 of them are from 1986. But it seems one of them came as Proof...
  7. I got this Silver Eagle 1986 Proof Coin "S" mintage from a Coin Dealer Shop. I think it is a little bit more valuable than the normal bullion, but it arrived from the store with no certificate of authenticity. What should I do with it? Get a special box for it?
  8. Yes I also only intend to fly with small quantities, not more than 1 or 2 coins at a time. I am also taking the digital invoices just in case. Thank you!
  9. Dear fellow stackers, good morning! Thank you all for your inputs I also did some research in the meantime, with the help of ChatGPT hehe Here is a usuful link for people who are travelling within EU space: https://taxation-customs.ec.europa.eu/customs-4/prohibitions-and-restrictions/eu-cash-controls_en Apparently the value threshold for declaring gold coins is 10k or above. Regarding silver, there is no mention to it. Have a great day!
  10. I see. I suppose that If I take just 1 ounce gold coin, plus some few silver 1 ounces, it's not really an issue? We are talking about little more than 2000€, shouldn't be an issue... I mean there are people who carry more expensive watches Thank you!
  11. Hello, Justed wanted to ask if someone here has ever travelled by airplane while carrying gold coins. I am an Expat in Germany and bought some bullion here (bc cheaper than at my home country), but I wanted to bring them home. Are there special procedures to consider in EU space for example? Is there a chance they will confiscate the goods or apply a fine? Thank you!
  12. Thank you everyone for this amazing feedback and great detailled inputs! Indeed I stayed away from those bars, it was too good to be true anyways... Cheers everyone!!
  13. Thank you very much @Petra, I have not performed any tests, it's basically an online purchase. Thats why I am a little insure about it. Thank you @iacabu, also for providing a picture from a real bar for comparison, it has been really helpful! I will investigate further with the seller, but maybe he really is unaware that he's trying to sell fake bars...
  14. Hello dear stackers. I would like to ask for your advice. I found a bunch of silver PAMP Suisse bars for sale from a private stacker, each one having 100g. He is selling each for 80€, which I find a very appealing price. However, I am a bit worried these could be fake, mostly because of how the packaging looks... I am sharing the screenshots in this chat. Could you guys give me your direct and honest opinion?
  15. Took this recent spot price reduction to do first ever gold purchase. Although I love silver, this also got me super excited.
