So just return the bloooody coin and then try to extract your revenge and kick the dealer later. Why prolong the issue?

Can we change the thread title to time to drag ya balls over razorwire?

I have now purchased the 125 limited plain edge 2 oz gold quartered arms, secondary market

(don't ask the price! - other half might be watching - joke she knows, though not completely comfortable. for less than the highest, milled edge versions seen on ebay )

I now have the option to get the portrait..  Personally I'm thinking as a pair, I won't ever likely lose money (my main concern) and the Portrait may become very desirable by itself?

(Rare coin with two longest reigning  female monarch on - Elisabeth 2nd and Victoria)

I have no intention of selling (maybe care home fees in 30 years) - As long as it is better than cash. I'd be happy

It is however a very  significant lump of money for me. Thoughts?

(though this forum may be a bit partisan to think gold coin collecting is a good idea!!!)

I just noticed the end of the first sentence from the post i quoted. That you knew is was from the secondary market.

He knew the RRP. He knew it was on the secondary market.

I agree dealers shouldn't misrepresent themselves.

But, fundamentally he bought a coin on the secondary market for a price he was happy to pay.

I was told it was -initially -

I was told later on - it was direct from the Royal Mint -

I was also told that their coins were supplied from the Royal Mint mad an awful lot of other things.. It appears I was told a lot of lies...  _if anyone has read how this progressed, I discovered things about the dealer, and it's provenance along the way.  But irt appears people just skip stuff, and do not take things in..  Both Royal Mint and Baird and Co have had all references about them removed from this dealers website. Baird and Co - seemed to have had 'words' the same day..  This whole topic, was actually about something else though - he Royal Min's business model where, they don't have 'authorised dealers' but somehow dealers get the pick of the stock via their RM account managers - Dealers can then charge whatever they like.  th elimited stock left on the website for the public, then sells out. and feeding frenzy, artificially hight prices, and we have the public thinking the must be good, look what dealers are chargiing.. of course, insiders in th eSilver forum think, do your own research, etc,etc it just works that way...  Can't be good for anyone when the bubble burst.

And yes, I am now trying to get shot of all my gothics.. Return one if  can, but I do not trust this dealer, because of the lies they have told, sell the others when I can.. But right now, if my tone is a bit off, my father dies ten days ago. and I'm not in the best frame of mind.

Genuinely extremely sorry to hear about your father 🙏🙏

Never worry about the coins and take care of your family.

I like to buy the pre-dip dip

@BarryWoods my honest advice is instead of stressing yourself out over coins. Is go and look after your mental health first. Losing your Dad is a big thing buddy.

Id be concentrating the thing closer to home first family. The rest can wait. you have a LOT going on.

Ive no doubt you can either sell or auction the coins. Take a rain check and look after yourself and others close you first. This is from someone whose been through rinser himself on mental health.

You have to look after yourself before you can look after others and men are c**p at it.

My advice is go and seek some help. Pieces of metal can seriously wait, honest!

Best of luck.
