Thanks mate! Do you know when the queue started? And i guess it sold out immediately for three graces due to queue... I've also heard that orders that have gone through had been cancelled too - is this true? i.e. is there a chance my 1oz gold QB completer may not be deliveried?

They appear to clear the site about 10mins before 9am and then rebuild a queue, so waiting from 8am say may not make any difference to your queue position, I am not entirely sure, I guess its down to luck.

As for RM cancelling orders, yes they do sell more than they have and tend to cancel some orders, but not being a insider its hard to know exactly what happens, but I don't trust them until I have the coin in my hand.

Is it better to wait on that screen when they are rebuilding the site ? or keep refreshing ? Or ?

Once you are in the queue you should not refresh the page or you will lose your place. If you are logged in from say 8am you have to refresh the page as you will not be put in the queue at all. Its a question of joining the queue at the right time, a time which I cannot give you because I don't know. Just to say getting up at 5am will not help you, the queue starts then you join it

The queue system seems to be completely unpredictable. I completely missed this the night before and it was only a news article that alerted me to this. I logged to the RM website with 2 minutes to go and got the Queue-it page but no number in the queue.  At 9am within 60 seconds I was on the order page and ready to go. 3 Graces I queued for 50 minutes and still missed out

Totally unprepared but hopefully bagged a 1 oz gold. Payment details went through fine first time, unlike 3 Graces. Missed the silver completely but happy to get what I got hopefully. Haven't had the "LOSER" email yet

For the next release i still don't know what I would do, jump in last minute or queue for an hour. Answers on a postcard please 😀

I clocked the queue starting at 20 minutes before the hour on this release. I have seen other releases, such as The Three Graces queued at 30 minutes prior, if I recall. And typically others are nominally 15 minutes. The reason I recall these is that I am setting my alarm for 0325 or so in the morning to be prepared. Five hour time difference can be painful...the worst was several weeks awaiting The Three Graces release...but perseverance paid off with that one!

Did I get One ???

I would hope so, buddy!! I picked up the 5 oz and 1 oz Silver Proof. Will likely get the 1 oz Bullion when I save up more funds from all this time working the second career.

I completely missed this issue, and when I finally saw it, all the gold and the larger silver was gone.

So I ordered the 1 oz Silver and the sheet metal piece. That's what I did for most Beasts. Let's see when it leaves the rainy island and arrives here in the rainy hillside of central-south Germany.

Surely way more than that, 400k is under spot :)

Somewhere here in SF i readed about 700k. I wonder why the RM doesn't hold the first 10 Kilo coin in mints history for the museum/exhibition at the mint. It would be amazing to see it live for all of us.

10kg the metal content alone was worth just over 400k it didn't say the selling price but said there was supposedly a buyer already in the article I read

We can all be pretty certain that the buyer wasn't Gordon Brown !!
Maybe Tony Blair with all his millions or Sneaky Dave having a punt ?

Woke up this morning and saw this release.

There was a queue to enter the website!

When i got in all the gold proofs had sold out... so kept refeshing and managed to order 2x 1oz gold proofs - though i heard some people say thier orders got cancelled weeks later. fingers crossed. i personally really like the design but i'm a QB guy, so biased.

what does everyone think of the design? anyone here got the 5oz or 1kg coin? :)

Does this qualify?:

We did once have 66 x one kilo gold coins in stock, although they were not RM proofs, they were various Australian Nuggets and Lunars by Perth Mint. That was back in the sub-prime, credit, banking crisis of 2007/8/9.
