Hi All,

and we have it, here is my box for my QB set, printing completed this morning after 32 hours :)

and the last coin from the QB series is on its way to me ;)

That's cool, the box looks pretty sweet. There may be others who would also like a box such as that. It could bring in some orders!

yes, I know, the color doesn't really appeal to me, but the crown and memorial design appeals to me, that's why I bought these coins

I had the memorial before, but with my other sovs the colour is even more evident. As long as you are happy 😊 as I said, lovely designs on these coins

Thanks.

The best thing is that this insert can be added to any box, just change the sizes, I did that, I bought a box and printed the insert on a 3D printer.

But the material I used is not cheap, and so is the number of printing hours 32h 🙈

But you can also make it from another cheaper material and faster at the expense of the quality of the finish

That's great, so you could potentially make a different type of insert to fit into different sized boxes. If Alun is no longer making the boxes then that could be something you could offer to other forum members.

If its something you wana do moving forwards then it may be worth putting a post into the coin capsule section, letting people know they can order one. If not then fair enough, but you seem to have done a good job on your own box. And great news that you managed to find the last coin you were searching for to complete your QB collection 👍

This is great 😮 I have a smaller coin from the trial, it looks great until you inspect it closely with a glass… quite battered, is yours the same? (The marks being part of the coins history 🤔)

They're put loose into paper envelopes of 6-10 coins (or more for circulating coins), so you would expect them to jingle about a bit against each other and suffer accordingly when handled. This one looks surprisingly good, but bullion's always a bit more forgiving than proofs.

Quite a genius idea really to sell damaged coins at a premium :D

2024 1/4oz Proof Gold - Six decades of 007 - 1980's

Thought I'd been lucky to get clean coins at the first time of asking from RM.  Might have been even luckier with an error coin.  I didn't notice until I took it out of the capsule to photograph.

The obverse is fine, but the reverse is more like a pastry cutter...

Think the press threw a wobbly you might want to check the weight and any signs of die cracking

I went over the faces with the microscope, as I'm used to returning coins from RM.  It's actually pretty spotless.  Maybe the odd pin hole of frosting here and there.  Certainly nothing major.

It was only when I took it out of the capsule to photograph that I noticed the rim.  I am loathed to keep handling it, as I don't want to break the edge.

Weighs 7.816g.

Maybe a guess the bar for charity type thing?

The lack of a cassette tells me it's not a fortuna or ginger its possibly too narrow to be a minted bar so I'm guessing a poured bar
