Same here mate, mid 40's for me also. Thinking about the future is prudent, something I never used to be until my late 30's. I don't really trust banks, who does, so stacking precious metals seems like one of the most sensible things to do when planning for the future.

Yeah maybe good in the short-term, but I guess I see my stack as a potential retirement pot so I want the value to keep increasing in the future.

Not sure how to feel about gold dipping too much. On one hand I'm in profit on items I purchased a while ago, so the dip isn't great. On the other hand it becomes slightly cheaper to buy more gold.

One thing I do know that coins before 1947 should have around 50% silver content and upto 90% silver content before 1920. It does look like you have some fairly standard old 5p and 1p coins, and some commerative coins for the royal family. Not sure how helpful my comments are though.
