Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

Tell you what, I'm normally far too tight for proofs but these two half's were bang on the money. More than happy with these.

I really need to pick myself up a 2002 at some point. Lovely

Worth every penny fella. Great design imo and less copper finish then the newer special date years.

Bit of a James Bond week.  Both 1980s and 1990s turned up this week.

2024 Six Decades of 007 - 1980's - Silver 2oz and Gold 1/4oz proofs

Octopussy's Acrostar Microjet - actually a real flying jet aircraft.

These two coins turned out to be spotless.  Although, as shown in the previous microscope photos, the gold 1/4 has a 'wire edge' or 'wire rim' (terms vary) apparently caused when the gold is forced around the edge during the strike.

Thanks do bargains come up often on there..? I'm guessing yes

Don't have it personally, but from what I hear it can be fortuitous and a minefield in equal measure.

I like to buy the pre-dip dip
