Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

Are you going to conserve it or do you prefer the vintage look?

I'm betwixt and between If I send it to NCS then have it graded via Numi it offers future protection plus the fact it would be officially graded. Having said that the vintage look is also very appealing.

I usually like a pristine proof but your tarnishing looks interesting. If i was you and considered grading i would probably grade it straight – you can always conserve later but never return if you ever repented...

That's a valid point, I may just do that as repentance, in this case, could prove painful.

That is one of the best looking bars I've seen for a long time.

Thanks. I am going to list it around £150 - most on ebay are around the £220 mark. They did two - a Silver Eagle and a Britannia.

As some of you may know from previous posts I have been buying less smaller items and have sold a few things over the last couple of months.

Today I bought this at the Baldwin’s Charles Wander Collection Auction

it is technically a proof of record or VIP proof that was never made for sale in a mint proof set.
