Finally a 1901 Melbourne sovereign bought from Australian eBay for spot.
And for some reason my wife thinks my sovereign buying is getting out of control?
She is obviously wrong, take her out for a meal she will forgive you, "it's always better to ask for forgiveness than ask for permission" 😄

I have a silver one but bought it to keep and may get it graded at some point, but I think as soon as a few people start selling the gold ones the prices will start too fall which will cause more coming up for sale, people trying to cash in before it drops.
I'm probably wrong but I can't see it maintaining these prices, will fall rapidly when people start flippin.
Or not lol

Did you take your copy of Mili Vanilli back for a refund since it turned out that they weren't actually singing and just lip syncing, so anybody who bought their album was entitled to return it for a full refund due to false adverising, and they were stripped of all the awards that they won - I'm serious about this. I find it funny though how lip syncing destroyed Mili Vanilli's careers, even now the one who is still alive can not get back into the music business and he can actually sing and has a great voice because of the lip syncing controversy over their album and live preformances. Yet today, people like the Spice Girls, Lilly Allen, the Pussycay Dolls and many many others would be unknows and have never been able to release an album yet alone been allowed near a recordind studio if it wasn't for lip syncing.
Aye i was just joking.......... I was lucky working in TV when younger and getting a job working on The Tube on Channel 4, I worked at Tyne Tees on city road in Newcastle... So i've seen my fair share of good singers live.

Looks like some people more willing to buy at traditional auction rather than ebay.
If I had that sort of cash to spend I wouldn't do it on Ebay, I'd be happy paying a few fees at auction to safeguard not getting ripped off with Ebay

that's some serious cash

First gold purchase is a fact. 2,5 gram gold bar, and a Sovereign. I must admit, when you're used to the size of silver coins, these Sovereigns are almost disappointingly small... 😂 But I'm happy with my purchase anyway. 😊
I felt exactly the same........... but gold is very addictive

Just received my Silver Una- it’s in the condition you would expect from the world renown Royal Mint-

Similar condition to the 1oz Queen Silver Proof I received last Friday.
I’m speechless- and will open a book here on what condition the 1/4oz Queen Gold I ordered arrives in:
Odds on 1/3 Damaged
Evens- acceptable
33/1 Lost in the post
Want to bet?
I bet your heart just sank, thats a real bummer 😠
