When they are talking 10-13% inflation but gold is going down you know it’s being manipulated. 🚀

Not really, to be fair, there are sensible reasons for gold to be going down.

One which we have addressed already and that is that paper gold is probably being sold, non-phisical stacks are probably the first to go when the economy slows, folks sell what they can to make ends meet, which is possibly why everything is going down, stocks, digital currencies and precious metals.

There is also another consideration, as the economy slows there is less industrial need, and as the demand goes down the prices go down. What we are observing is necessities going up, as in petrol, food and utilities, as we all need them, but everything else going down as we don't need them so we don't spend out money there.

I could well be wrong and be talking waffles, sounds reasonable to me.

These predictions are not entirely implausible, but conversely has this guy ever predicted a dramatic fall in the price of gold, and been proved right? Or has he always predicted a rise and has he often been proved right over a reasonably lengthy period of time i.e. a matter of months or even years, not just a day or two or even a week?

Does make me giggle all these predictions. The reality is, no one truly knows WHEN and HOW MUCH gold will rise, fall or remain stable. So here’s a prediction - gold will rise at some point. And gold will fall at some point. And tomorrow the sun will rise. And tomorrow it will set. Does that make me an excellent commentator/specialist/pundit..? I don’t think so. 😂

It does seem a bit of a game on here though - almost a daily one - where people say it’s rising and then falling. A bit of fun but Sherlock Holmes won’t be worried about his job just yet!

A lot can change overnight. Evergrande and China starting a new financial crisis is one example, never mind Taiwan. When the flight to safety starts I’ll be glad I have some gold, just like in 2008. Now I have a lot more. Learnt my lesson and fully expect the debt bubble to burst one day, but when? Also, what will trigger it??? 🤔

⬆️ Makes some scary viewing!

All the debt in the world (Inc. currency in issue) / All the ozs of gold ever mined. Would anyone like to give me an estimate of gold’s true “price”?

https://blogs.imf.org/2021/12/15/global-debt-reaches-a-record-226-trillion/

https://www.expensivity.com/worlds-gold/

$226 Trillion world debt / 5,820,203,717 ordinary ounces

My calculator can’t cope with the zeros 🤷‍♂️

Edit: So about $39,000 per oz would be needed to balance the world debt with gold. That’s all the gold ever mines not government held gold!
