Is it also under the 10k usd rule? But if you prove that its yours and it is legit, you can still travel with your gold no? Just like cash if proven legit 🤔

One reason Cubans like thick gold necklaces and bracelets, they can travel with far more then $10,000 on them at any time.

No, and for me it's one of Bitcoin's best features.

Because I like espionage novels and the like, I've put a cunning plan into action.

When I travel I always pack a Bible, it's useful for picking up chicks and being gifted free drinks, and I've hidden my 24 word recovery phrase in the text. Now, you won't know my method or appreciate my wile, but with this I can confidently travel across borders and through customs with any amount of crypto and without declaration or discovery.

Nobody will want to steal, confiscate or seize my Bible and I won't have to pay any duty on it.

:D

Technically, alcohol is a solution..

'It [socialism] poses a growing threat, however unintentional, to the freedom of this country, for there is no freedom where the State totally controls the economy. Personal freedom and economic freedom are indivisible. You can’t have one without the other. You can’t lose one without losing the other.'

I personally think money is moving from gold into crypto .

Powell himself admitted that Bitcoin is the Digital Gold and we keep hearing announcement after announcement from big company’s basically recognising Bitcoin as a way payment or investment.

For example If you want to travel somewhere you can’t take your gold with you but you can easily take your Bitcoin with you to anywhere in the world without any problem and use it to trade or make payments .

That said I’m still a big fan of gold , I’m not sure how long Bitcoin’s Dominance is going to last but gold has passed the test of time and I’m not worried about my 30oz of Gold investment in long term but I personally did convert quite a lot of gold and silver into Bitcoin over the last two months .

At the end of the day it is not the strongest or the smartest who’s is going to win , it’s the one who can adapt quickly and accordingly to changes and new situations.

Well you just answered yourself, let’s say you can travel with 10k gold , when it comes to crypto you can have hundreds of millions worth of Bitcoin in your cold wallet and travel with it and you never have to worry for not having access to your Coins , you can always react to the market’s volatility if you need to even when abroad .

last year when gold hit £1600 in august I was on holiday in Turkey ,  I would’ve sold some if I had my gold with me and taken some profit but it wasn’t possible , was it ? Because my gold was in London 😂

There are a few big international risks developing at the moment that could blow up and impact the price of gold. I thought I would share what I am watching:

- Russia / Ukraine (Heavy armour massing on the border).  At the same time, Russian Subs are conducting drills in the Arctic (blowing holes in the ice big enough to launch missiles through...)

- North Korea (Little rocket man has had 4 trump years to build more rockets) Now the Dems are in he is testing them again.

- China agitating against Taiwan and also more interestingly also now overstepping their Mark and sitting on Indian territory - China sees India as weak and are testing India.  India now have nukes that can reach China....

I suspect all of the above are linked but any of these erupting could have an unexpected impact on gold.

This is well timed I spent yesterday going through Emerging stocks with a strong leaning to Russia & China.
I then went through all the major defence and military based stocks as some of them are still cheap.
Lets face it we have bush mk2 in the shiite house. I shall put this in a dedicated post, more work to do.

Invest in the military stocks now and then Russia when it kicks off. ;)
Start with Evraz and go from there.

Im guessing they are looking for Nazis American bases, under the ice.
I recon there are funny goings on in Antartica, plenty of evidence.

If this crashes the markets then gold will rocket (pardon the pun).
Combine that with pressure or a ban on Crypto and it will do even better.

Russian activity in the Arctic is nothing more than opening up the northeast passage. They have been working on it for years but the recent fiasco at the suez canal has prompted them into increasing their efforts.

I can't see gold rising much over the short to medium term, never mind "going to the moon "

Bitcoin, not "cryptos", is the best horse in the race for  store of value . And contrary to what has been said elsewhere,  it cannot be banned or confiscated by governments or anyone else for that matter.

Hang on, how did we get from Gold price chat to Bitcoin being banned by Governments.😂

The Russian activity saw three Delta IV subs break ice not so far from the North Pole as part of Umbria 2021.  One creating a hole big enough to launch through.  It is a pressure tactic.

Not sure if any of you heard on UK radio, advert to sell their unwanted gold jewellery (wouldn't surprise me if they were contracted by the UK Gov)?  Heard it on Wednesday.

May have been no more than a decade ago, where there were TV adverts encouraging you to sell your gold jewellery and sending it in the post.

I have been wondering when these types of adverts would kick off again.

With the video on Turkey, it sounds more shocking, with their government asking their citizens to sell their gold - more direct and open, but with us, it's more covert and less shocking, by contracting out to a third party and not saying it's to save our currency.

Its the british way - be but polite but actually be horribly sneaky about it - exploitation the british have been masters at for years in all concepts.

Those adverts have been around for years. Companies preying on people who have no idea how much their jewellry is worth and offering a fraction of scrap value.

My local shopping centre has a permenant stand which has been there for years.

I've noticed adverts outside jewellers, for example, but what makes it more prominent is the fact that TV and radio adverts start to come on and I've not heard or seen these for quite a number of years, which indicates a big push to sell and possibly driven by more powerful entities.
