I tried in May 2022. They wouldn’t let me in the door as I didn’t have an appointment…Id travelled from Australia 🤣 seriously. ..that’s not a joke

Awwww. I was told by appointment too. It's the way to go these days. You don't want Benedicto Del Toro turning up unannounced and jumping on your counter and waving a shooter around.

I suppose you could have rung them up while you were outside the shop asking if they could fit you in. They can't be that busy. It's not like a book signing for Micheal Ball at WH Smiths. That was busy. Almost a dozen fans turned up 🤣

Couldn't resist, last bit o' gold for the collection before the move. Looks in pretty good nick for a change compared to what I usually receive from dealers.

I persuaded the family to have a day out in Blackpool. No ulterior motive at all .. had fish and chips a lytham, and on the way to the sandcastle called in. Kids in car. Only wanted a whistle stop visit to buy some buffalo’s. The blank stares from the staff inside as I tried to open the door made me just head to the pier instead🤣. I have bought online since though. I had no idea it was appointed only at that time!

One King Charles 2022 Memorial full sovereign. Possibly the most troublesome sovereign I've ever bought. Story here:

Oh well! Not gold, however, was just in what passes as a local coin shop here and found this! Big reduction from original mint offering. They also actually had a really cheap sovereign in, unfortunately it was pretty worn and possibly ex mount🤔😮

I'm hoping it's going to prove a good buy 😁. I did look everywhere for a mintage but nowhere to be found.

Mine was BBP, the RM has them but only in 1oz and 1/10oz

Gold con events see mostly Chinese and EBay'er participants, where gold plated tungsten is apparently a common take-away

Yeah definitely not true 😂 other dealers have them internationally. These were offered to other UK dealers as well they just turned them down for unknown reasons, likely premium/minimum order quantity.
