  1. I do not purposely seek to buy worn sovereigns. In fact, I avoid them as they do not look pleasing to my eyes.

About 18 months ago, my order for 6 pre-owned sovereigns arrived from our friendly bullion dealer in Birmingham.

One coin, a 1893 Victorian veil head was really worn and it annoyed me for a while. It weighs 7.93g. I had thought about sending it back but couldn't be bothered in the end. The other coins in the batch (4 Victorian and 1 Isle of Man) were in good condition.

If I were to sell any of my sovereigns, that worn one would be the first to go. Perhaps, Zhorro would be good enough to take it off my hands when time comes 🤗

  2. There is a member here who is selling tubes of 25 silver coins:

    For example:  25x 1oz Silver Britannia’s 2021 & Tube BU £562.50  RMSD Included

But you will need to upgrade to your membership in order to view sale items advertised within 72 hours (if I remembered correctly)

It'll probably save you the hassle of buying from Europe with the extra VAT and import duty.

    Ha if only!

Although it should be noted that silver when ingested or in colloidal solution and is used on the skin it can cause blue tinged skin - Argyria. Not a good look...

If the colloidal silver solution is contaminated (usually with sodium) and you consume heavy doses of the stuff over a long period of time then it could affect you.  The proper colloidal silver solution has to be made from pure silver and pure water.

The Internet full of scare stories demonising colloidal or nano silver products. There is a reason for this; just follow the money !

Silver is a natural product that comes out of the ground and it is antiviral. Silver cannot be created in a lab.

Just think if colloidal silver or nano silver which has health benefits becomes common knowledge. How would that affect the multi-billion dollar  pharmaceutical industry ?  Would it not screw up their share price, their bottom line and business model. The demand for some of their sympathetic drugs would wane.

In the same way that the financial industry likes to suppress silver (and gold), the pharmaceutical industry likes to suppress information on any natural remedies and treatments.

Why?  Coz there is no money in it for them !

Have a look at this article about the ebola outbreak in 2014 and it might get you to think a little bit more.

how to tell if the 400oz bar comes unsalted ?

If a 400 oz bar is salted then its condition is preserved so does not milk spot nor tarnish.

But an unsalted bar that's not preserved will milk spot and tarnish over time !! 👍😄

  5. Since the last post, the platinum spot price has dropped another £100, from around £800 to £700 (at the time of writing).

I am interested in the metal too, mainly because I don't have any in my collection.

I searched the forum to gauge how others view platinum and found this thread.

I like to buy a 1oz pt Britannia but will the price drop further !?

    Oh! decisions decisions !! 🤔

    Hi,

Can anyone tell me how thick their silver 1oz Kangaroos are (say 2020)? Lots of conflicting info on the web. Perth Mint says 3.1mm but all the ones I've seen are all around 2.85mm

Why are you asking this question - is it to verify whether the coin(s) you have is genuine?

If so, better to post some good photos of your coins here and most of us should be able to give you an answer.
