  1. Sure, I think the dip was to 2300usd I'd like to think that would be the new baseline, but at the end of it all what's the difference between buying now and at the dip, Circa £50quid ?

  3. After the recent highs, followed by the downs and up, current prices are probably the new normal 🤔😮

  4. You've just had a big price correction - in the region of £100/oz from the recent highs. What more d'you want..? Movement is all relative, and gradual forward movement is usually always in an upward direction as the greed and megalomaniac need for power of bankers, politicians, and global business leaders careers out of control. Economically and politically, things aren't going to get any better in the world in the long run, and that will keep pushing the gold price up as more sensible heads divert their wealth to safe havens, so you need to recognise the dips when they appear and take advantage accordingly.

  5. Less economic announcements due this week. Thursday has UK rate decision and BofE speech. Not much high impact news scheduled and a few bank hols around. Let's see

  9. You might be right about USD2300 being the new baseline. But in years of stacking has taught me not to adopt a FOMO mindset. So I'm biding my time, already saved up to time the market based on my prediction (I could be horribly wrong of course). I tend to buy a few coins in one order. Sometimes the premium is lower when buying multiple coins. This approach has served me well thus far and it is my personal preference. I don't particularly like buying a little but often approach because of extra postage cost or extra travel expenses to the dealer. I'm not too bothered should the gold price continues on the upward trajectory ........ But better if it goes DOWN DOWN DOWN please !!! Where's Wonger ?!!! 😁

  11. I received it ungraded from a well known reputable dealer here in the US but I'm having a hard time parting with it to send it out to NGC lol although I will eventually. For now I put it in a common slab/holder.

  12. Here's a Gold coin I recently acquired to add to my collection. The coin is from the Eastern Roman Empire dated AD 457-474 from the Constantinople Mint. The obverse depicts Roman Emperor Leo I and the reverse portrays Victoria who was the Goddess Of Victory in both war and peace. This Solidus was a highly pure solid 24k Gold coin issued in the later Roman Empire weighing in at 4.45 grams and 20mm in diameter. The solidus was the main gold coin of commerce during late Roman times and this particular coin was also handed out by the late Emperor to Roman soldiers for 1 months pay as well. The meaning of SOLIDUS is an ancient Roman gold coin introduced by Constantine (4th century) and used to the fall of the Byzantine Empire (15th century). This is my first Gold coin purchased and imo, for myself I couldn't of picked a better one to start off my Gold coin collection.

  13. Someone who came on and made a prediction that gold would crash to £400 and everyone would be out of pocket and crying into their beers... or words to that effect. When the price went up, he disappeared. In memory of a much missed contributer - Wonger in his own words:

  15. If I recall, gold and silver did go down through March, April and May. I know, because I was buying right through to July when the price started going up and up - at which point I stopped until October.

  25. That sounds a lot like planning, true stacking is all about impulse purchase, panic buying and regret.

  26. Almost three years ago, I started a journey to show the world the value of silver coins from around the world. I made videos focusing on the culture, history, and stories featured on coins and after a while, caught a following. It was my hope to never use fear as a means to market or draw people to silver but rather focus on common ground. It took some time but now we are at the point of phase two. I not only can bring the joy and education in collecting silver but also, can start giving it away Monthly. It was always a goal and now that I am officially monetized, it is a reality. As I pledged years ago, 10% of what youtube pays me for Ad revenue will be given back in the form of giveaways. I want to one day give away more silver than I have in my stack and in doing so, hope to bring many to the world of metals in a way that might cause a large population to pay attention. I wanted to post this picture as it is a HUGE milestone...The first of a monthly give-a-way that I will do as long as I am active on YouTube. May it be for years and may it spark something in the general public that creates a large audience to start to see our world in 20/20 clarity.

  29. Thank you young lady. I’m not sure if the RM still put “Treasure For Life” on their coin boxes, but hopefully my son will treasure that Robin Hood coin. Yeah, May is going to be a long month. But what the hell. March and April were golden.

  30. Adding 2.5oz is great. 'Own it and love it' ❤️ This should be your signature on here! Yes be good! The charts usually creep down in the summer, so I'm told! Some members balance small amounts, more frequently. You can catch some really good deals on here from @James32 @Tn21 @kneehow2018 @Auronumto name a few

  33. Don’t remember the 1st, but the last was the 2018 Eagle, from your part of the world in Beaumont, Texas, whilst on a ‘shooting visit!’ Now, it’s all about Gold for me, but recognise that Silver, despite the difference in value, enables the collector to get the latest designs for a fraction of the price. Photo shows all my ‘keepsakes’…..
