Has anyone heard anything about these? Last I heard they were going on pre-sale tomorrow at the mint. I was expecting the usual mass emails but believe I only got one and that was weeks ago!

Received an email from Atkinsons a couple hours ago confirming ready to take preorders tomorrow and coins will despatch from 7th Feb 👍🏼

Very interested to see how they’re priced on this preorder. Based on current sovereign premiums they may appear a less attractive option than maybe some of the older Sovs that are readily available. FOMO probs means orders will be placed but may also mean other sovs are being sold off to fund purchases of the new KCIII Sovs 👍🏼

'The Memorial Sovereign bullion coin range was announced in November 2022. However, due to the timing of the sad passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and ongoing logistical issues with the world’s supply chain, The Royal Mint were unable to produce all Memorial Sovereign bullion coin stock this calendar year. The Memorial Sovereign bullion coin range will only be available to purchase upon release (31 January 2023), due to the fluctuating price of gold.'

Still waiting on mine also. I refuse to buy anything from them until they deliver the last order, getting tempted to get the refund also..

To be honest I was meant to decide over weekend but didn't 😆 feel like cancelling my last set and just buying bullion.

You are raising a ver good point………what happens to a dealer that’s got millions of pounds of effectively free working capital from us over months and we start asking for it back on mass……..could they actually pay it back to us?

@SiCole  if a dealer continues to break embargo’s it would not take much for the RM to stop supplying them, it would be so easy for a dealer in this scenario to go the wall very fast as they could potentially have millions of pounds of orders for gold bullion they have already spent,  they don’t have the cash to pay out or the gold bullion…….likely you  don’t get anything.

I’m in no way casting aspersions and most certainly not naming names I’m just talking about a scenario where we all know there’s  100’s of millions backed up in a system, and what happens if either people get sick of waiting and or the dealer can’t deliver?
