Im tempted to buy a big gold bar, curious to know biggest you other guys have gone with.

A little bit concerned about problems if I want to resell.

Do they offer free delivery?

Technically, alcohol is a solution..

Personal freedom and economic freedom are indivisible. You can’t have one without the other. You can’t lose one without losing the other.'

You'll be able to sell a bigger bar easy enough to serious dealers. I like the idea but dealing with tubes of sovs or 1 Oz coins only costs marginally more to buy and almost anyone can be a potential customer when you come to sell.

If you go to some dealer sites now and look at their buying offer Vs their selling cost and compare that spread to 1 Oz or sovs you can see how you'd do

I did ask Perth Mint some years ago how much they would sell their one tonne gold coin for, as I thought I knew of a potential customer.

It's not the first time I tried to get my hands on it:

They said that it was not currently for sale.

I suspect that if someone approached them with a serious offer to pay a sufficient premium, that they might be tempted.

I also asked if they could make a one tonne silver coin for us.

It would fit quite easily in our strongrooms, but we might need a bigger capacity lift, and I don't fancy trying to manhandle it down the stairs to our bunker.

He's gonna need a lot more than a bigger safe lol.  How about trigger happy armed guards with attack dogs, ninja assassins, Indiana Jones type traps and puzzles, etc.  I digress but you get the picture!  😝

That one was a bargain, fairly under spot. In fact it was the main prize at the Berlin Ninja Warrior competition. You just needed a ladder, a trolley and you had to fit through a small window. No hoover bags needed. The coin was a loan to the museum by a "collector", propably to save storage costs. Because the Museum didn't met for years several security requirements, the insurance is not liable and the owner has get some peanuts. The Ninja Warriors would allready have been free again, but they decided to took place at the Dresden Highland Games, during the court hearing for the theft of the Maple, and win as main prize a good part of Saxony's heritage, insurance claim around 110 million.

For a better fit, the 100 kilo maple was later transformed into 1 OZ Maple Leafs.

Later they had a boating accident too, and almost nothing has been found until today. But they regret their doing and after 4,5 (four and a half) years in fully-heated-and-served-3-meals-a-day-with-paytv,-gym-and-swimmingpool-brand-new-prison in Berlin, they will be resocialized and will watch out for a job.

I saw that one at the World Money Fair in Berlin in 2012, or 2013. Impressiv, how small a ton of gold is. My day at the fair was over, i was just standing in front of it. With tears in my eyes. The whole day🤣

Wished, i had a trolley too🤣😆

Absolute gigantic

PM told me if I had stuck my head into their stand, or contacted them on the setting up day, that I could have photographed the coin directly rather than in its case, so I missed out there.
