I’ve seen these ended sets on bullion by post to buy ? Why have royal mint stopped ? X

Because they've probably sold the remaining stock to the dealers I expect.  Either that or they're fulfilling the orders they made through the dealers and some people have cancelled their orders leaving available stock with them.

Places like bullion by post have ordered whatever amount from mint, so these are available. The mint decided to stop the supply for various reasons, but as these are ‘memorial’ they decided to limit the number available.

 I'm really disappointed they didn't do the decent thing and keep the unsold ones back to use as replacements when the usual quality control issues surface.

 Also interesting to see we are now saying February for orders arriving, they really are taking the pi$$ with this launch, at this stage who would really bet on a February delivery?

She said by mid February so could be between now and then. But when February does tick around they'll probably start saying mid April lol

 We'll just have to see I guess but with the slew of coronation coins they no doubt have planned and the unlimited mintage memorial coins to be minted and sent I don't have a great deal of confidence.

 You never know I suppose but I've just sort of resigned myself to the fact it will be late and probably in poor condition, but that may be because historically I've been constantly unlucky with special stuff from the mint....yet here I am again, in spite of my gloomy posts I'm clearly an optimist at heart.

Gotta be optimistic mucker. I'm hoping everyone cancels their orders so the only one in existence is mine. That might be a little to optimistic but hey, the way it reads on this thread sometimes, it could well be a real possibility 🤷🤣

No chance I'm cancelling mine, not even if a king William Sovereign comes out before the king Charles ones arrive!

Well hopefully it'll just be ours that survive then. What did you order?

Just had an email that my sov has been dispatched

You're the first person I've heard of with it on the way. Can't wait to start seeing pictures of these popping up soon. I looked on my account earlier, no joy for mine yer.

I was surprised as I checked this morning and it was still in progress, read my email an hour ago and stated it was being prepared for dispatch. Received the Royal Mail tracking number about half an hour ago.

@jultorsk

These were put into auction to give customers another chance to buy them if they had missed out purchasing from the Royal Mint or other retailers. We often add new releases to auction to add interest and for this reason. I disagree with those who think this issue will be a flop. On the contrary! We sold out of our initial allocation and had to preorder more from other suppliers to offer them to new and regular customers. The Royal mint reduced virtually all allocations to wholesale. Which I believe left them with a larger stock base than they previously had on other releases. (Probably from complaints about flipping).  I think those who cancelled or decided to wait to purchase these coins will live to regret this decision. In our experience most changes of design are better purchased at the time of release as they rarely reduce in price and mostly increase. Whilst this Memorial Issue wasn't the anticipated Coronation issue most of us expected, I think in time will prove to be a extremely popular desirable design. Afterall, it is still THE FIRST SOVEREIGN BEARING THE NEW KING CHARLES III PORTRAIT.

Anyone who missed the auction or the 31st December cut-off time do get in touch we have kept a few items available and will still honor the release price on some of these releases. 0800 169 1066

I'm looking forward to this one a lot. I don't suppose you have had any dispatched from the supplier to you yet? 😎

People on this thread are like an angry mob 😅 but they are nice once they are reminded of the points you mentioned every 50 or so pages...

@Solachesis We haven't had details of a delivery date yet (hopefully will be soon or at least a rough idea of date). We will keep everyone in the loop - the minute we know you'll know 😊
