The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. Received from the Love Guru, or @BackyardBullion as you may know him. It comes with a guarantee that it will cure all marital problems and increase my sex life with the wife ... I have cancelled my playboy subscription in anticipation.

It really is a wonderful piece and I cant recommend enough the concept/idea of the accompanying video (available on his Youtube channel). The communication was superb throughout the process. I am sure the wife will love it on valentines day ... assuming I got our wedding date right for the inscription. A big thank you to a very talented man.

Thanks to @HelpingHands for this little nugget. A common year but in lovely condition and at a nice price.

I wanted this, but I already had an '11.

This one is so much better....grrr! Nice addition :)

NGC has recently had some harsh criticism of PCGS on PCGS's alleged recent 'overly generous' grading standards. Personally, I use NGC myself for a variety of reasons including that they are better equipped (in my opinion) to authenticate and grade certain medals.....an area of numismatics that I am quite partial towards these days.

You looked at the wrong database coin at PCGS.

500 minted of the reverse proof

NGC graded 99

PCGS graded 26

70's graded by PCGS 11/26 (all First Strike)

70's graded by NGC 12/99

Possible reason why there are more PCGS 70 is that Apmex could sort out sets for First Strike and sold them.

The thing is, you can turn anything around and see it in a different angle, so for example, the 200th Anniversary 5 Sov ONLY 16 from 156 submitted failed to get a 70 grade, if we were working to the same standards that people are applying for PCGS in their POOR grading, then this standard is pretty poor from NGC, yet nearly half  of the submitted coins to PCGS failed to get the same grade that NGC seem to have thrown at these coins.

Funny how you can turn around a TPG with numbers and stats....... It's all a game that these TPGs are playing with each other, don't be blinded by stats and pop reports, you may have to look deeper than us mortals can, corporate giant against corporate giant

All these figures are highly skewed by the impact of:

1. Does a bulk grading happen?
2. Does the mint do the initial bulk grading?
3. Where does the bulk grader choose? NGC or PCGS?

The £5 is not normal grading it's an arrangement to provide bulk graded coins and the bulk grading order specifies a percentage of 70's
