Because it's in our DNA.
All humans (regardless of geopolitical borders, sexual orientation, gender, age...) associate gold with wealth.
What else comes close to that?
Rolex. Sure, but isn't this brand one of the largest consumers of gold in the world, if not the.

Problem is that with every decrease in spot price comes a decrease in available stock at dealers.
And considering that refineries experienced lockdowns last year, it's not going to be pretty.

This is exactly my thinking. I'm more bothered that the packaging on my 10oz is ripped all down one side.
Would you return? or am I being too fussy. This bar has a big premium on top and if just standard bullion I wouldn't mind do much, but its not.
I have ordered a 10 oz together with 3 plastic capsules, hoping that RM would make a JC reinterpretation of 3G in a year or two, and then a Royal Crown...
So, one could stack those for weight but once a year take them out from hiding and just admire them.

Its just bullion. None of them are perfect. Blank plates get stamped witha press and they all look a little uneven around the edges.
Limited production, unique design, large premium... shouldn't be just bullion... not when Perth can make a 10oz Kookaburra (also bullion) as perfect as any other colectible.
And they put them in capsules that are so tight, you know for sure that dealers haven't handled them.

What do you mean? This topic is exactly about these bullion bar-coins, just see first 2 posts.
Because it was merged by the admin. I missed the initial topic and opened a new one.

It's not yet in stock. You can register to receive notification. I'm waiting for it to pop out on GS.BE and ship it together with the items I have in vault.

Your favorite brand is offering discounts on their products, and you're not happy. Strange!

Initially bought the lion and elephant (2 each).
When I saw the design of the rhino, I've lost interest and parted ways with 1 pair.
Now, the (beautiful) leopard is out, and prices increased (EM has limited stock for €110).
Ordered one of the few still available rhinos a week or so ago, and the leopard today.
Quite a successfull series.

To me, ancient civilisations have little to do with today's political borders.
IMHO, the series looks beautiful so far, so I don't really care who is minting it.
