Looks great! Well done on taking that step to use it too! Nerve wrecking at first!!!!

Just in time for the second release too! Just had the email confirming 21 Feb!

Yeah didn't really think about it and just did it, whiles doing it, was worried abit if I make contact with the tip to the coin. I have noticed when I re open the cap though, cloud appears but disappears after. Maybe need to let the coin air out first and wait few minutes after use and then put capsule back on?

Oh no, This month is too soon and the bullion hasn't been released, lol. My wallet needs to breath. :(

Nice... Did you order online or was it done by your AM? Most AM orders seem to be dispatched after weeks

Might not be correct as no tracking info, some trickery is happening with my acc so think its incorrect, all my passed orders have disappeared from view. I think RM are having a laugh with me this monday morning.

I don't even know how it's possible for money to leave your account but no order to be generated. 'Tis a mystery.

Oh! So there may be light at the end of the tunnel?

Yeah, just wont have a better sleep tonight than if you got a order number with a email and order showing in your orders page. 🤣

I have a feeling my order has fallen through the net. I'll probably have to wait a week for the pending money to fall off my bank account. At least I had a minute of jubilation 🥳

This happened to me too, I tried a different card and same thing, payment pending. Last time this happened I had to ring up rm and they found my order. So looks like I will have to ring them tomorrow as they are not open rn.

Out of interest, because its really quite annoying me....

Does anyone else always get redirected to the beta page of RM's website.

The navigation tabs on the beta are GARBAGE and to find anything I have to manually search!

Chrome seems to be the only browser redirecting me to beta, very annoying!

I thought it was just me as well so didn't want to mention it as thought I was being silly! Haven't tried again since

  7. Everyday I am kicking myself as I had a chance to purchase this at chards on release of the platinum jubilee range day at £681. But because I needed to have funds In my account as I was waiting on several pending transactions from RM I couldn't purchase as didn't know chards takes payment on dispatch or right away?

Gutting but for future reference does chards take payment straight away or upon dispatch of items?

    Thanks

🤣 Yeah, don't do that. He ended his video by saying " Yes, I think this is worth £95" .. it may have been 3.5 minutes earlier but it wasn't by the time he finished with it.

I also think his description of how shiny and heavy it was compared to a circulation £2 kind of gave the game away 😂

    Thanks for sharing 👍

Edit: worth adding, no problem handling with bare hands, its the safest way, but don't touch the surfaces of a proof, ever. The grease from your skin not only leaves an ugly mark and possibly scratches the surface if its a smudge, but over time the acid also etches the surface - permissible on the rim, destroying it numismatically (in most cases) if on the surface.

The risk is too great with my unsteady hands 🤣

  9. Saw a video the other day and thought this guy handled the coin like a bossman and either didn't care or he didn't know how proof coins should be handled. (Not one to tell how to handle the coins but i feel this isn't the way, for me anyways.)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJCJWFUDKKQ

His really enjoying the coin and I wondered any one else enjoy their proof coins to the fullest like this with their bare hands.

Wish I can handle my proof coins like this but something tells me I can't without blemishes appearing. (I think he created a blemish on the coin after too as example. )

    Thanks

  10. @BarryWoods Hi Barry,

Thought I put your post details here aswell as it contained prices.

The British Monarchs Collection - Royal Mint - any thoughts?

    5 year series, 21 monarchs.

    Starting with Henry VII

    1250 1oz silverproof £135
    790 2oz silverproof £260
    275 5oz silverproof £555
    600 1oz gold proof £2760
    175 2oz gold proof £5120
    75 5oz gold proof £11430

Mine thoughts are, at the moment it does seem to be too many releases, to close together, but I think long term it might do well, especially the older coin design portraits..

I'm likely to get the ones, that most people have ever 'heard of/know about'

Henry VIII, Elisabeth 1st, Victoria and of course Elisabeth 2nd (likely with Charles on the other side - :(  )

Fortunately for my wallet, those are a  years away

For me, RM looks like they have made the decision for me 🤣, at them prices, its a sit out for me. The amount of releases and the months of releases in Jan, I can't afford to add extra brokeness for the next few years in January to my already broke ass.

    Thanks
