putting my cynical hat on, they have done the different designs to encourage folk buy one of each. otherwise, if they were all the same design, they would just buy one.

Of those, I think the £5 is the best of the bunch, but since I am not really bothered about £5 coins I might pop on at lunch and see about the 1oz.  But then, the £5 is a 2oz silver proof. But then I think the 1 and 2oz proofs have been overpriced for RM for the last few releases.  but how many coronations will I ever be able to see and buy a coin for?  But do I wait a couple of months and see the price drop once the flippers have had their fun?  but when would i get it from RM - December?  decisions, decisions..........

More buts than a glen of but n bens there!  😁

Would I be right in thinking that with those mintages for the 1 and 2 oz silver, that there is not a great chance of an upside in the next few years?   ( not interested in flipping but just asking from curiosity if i buy )

Personally I would get the sotd sovereign in the basket and pay for it don’t add it and then snoop around and try to add other coins as most likely will be out of stock by the time you add other coins

The SOTD sovereigns will sell out quite quickly, we only managed to secure a few, but we have all the other coins in the coronation collection available to order now. We have sold out of the 1/40th gold from the ounce range and only have two 1/4oz left.

Meanwhile, the packaging for the SotD Sovereign is going to be same old, same old.

I leaned a long time ago “buy the coin not the box it comes in”

I’d honestly prefer a “box-less” option with a £30 discount off RRP.

I have to admit that I am a bit of a sucker for pretty packaging, but I do agree with you for the most part.

A well made box for a special occasion would indeed be lovely, but generally, I’d be fine paying less than RRP if they offered coins without boxes.

I'm genuinely excited for this launch a strong offering and realistic mintages on the gold.    Looking positive!

Out of interest, how many minutes, it seconds even, does it take to make a SOTD bullion sovereign?

I would say about 34.28 seconds per coin.   This is based on 1 machine on a 12hour shift 1260 coins.   I've struck my own and it takes 30 seconds ish.

Mate you should have seen my local Wetherspoons yesterday when the card payment system went down and they would only take cash......Carnage!  no one had cash🤣🤣

Top tip it's always worth  just sticking a £20 note inside your phone case for the emergency beer!
