I ordered the 3 coin set. I had payment pending from my bank account disappear today. When I check my account it says dispatched. I'm confused, am I not getting the coins now? Anyone else experiencing the same?

from what my understanding is and reading this same query a few times over time

RM they can only hold/authorise funds for 3 days believe. your bank balance/credit card limit will revert back. so it looks as payment has not been taken

once your order is processed/ready to go, it payment will be reauthorised

Something to do with card processors/FCA rules not the Mint, purposely trying to make things difficult.

So i think you'll be fine if you've had your "Thank you for your order - EXXXXXXXXXXXX"  confirmation email from Mint

Not looking forward to having to buy on the secondary market.

I have received text confirmation from DHL re my 5 coin set - estimated delivery by end of working day Monday.

From previous experience there is a chance it could turn up tomorrow (order turned up a day earlier before).

Thought I would mention for those expecting delivery on Monday.

Don't like the idea DHL give you the option in the text to click on a link to change to none signature.

Yes, same for me also with three coin set. Called them this afternoon and they said nothing to worry about will be reauthorised when processed.

Any super long term stackers know/can remember what the RRP launch prices were at Royal Mint for 1989, 2002, 2005, 2012, 2017 years ?

The 2017 was £545. This was my first proof sovereign direct from the Royal Mint.

Bye Bye - into safe storage you go - see you in 2026+ :( to review

This isn't going to do my OCD any good at all - todays 2022 sovereigns coins stored in a USA silver eagle tube ...grrrhhhh

So they're not rolling round loose in your safe deposit box, fits the RM plastic capsules reasonably snugly - all kept together

I love your labeling and ocd. 🥰 But your label is wrong - it’s not the 95th anniversary but the 70th.

I appear to be the opposite of most folks, no surprise here. Have not received my set yet and have a delivery expected in 5 days time butHMRM has gone ahead and relieved me of circa £5k in anticipation. If they land , rattling about in semi opened cases I will not be be surprised but gunning for the buggers. Wish me luck, I have the 5 coin set ordered

DIUE ET MON DROIT

Spelling error on Coin Update News (Whitman) in announcement about 2022 UK Proof Gold Sovereigns range:

Of course, it should be Dieu et Mon Droit.

I wonder if Coin Update got it from a Royal Mint press release? It seems likely to me.

A few years ago, some of the media were reporting that Honi Soit Qui Mal y Pense was Latin! It is French. I believe this also came from a Royal Mint press release.

Anyone who is grading what label are you all going for? I'm usually just a brown label but think the royal celebration label would be nice?

I'm keeping mine in the omp...when I get them..not a grader.

No doubt SOTD, plain edge will re emerge this year im sure

If it follows the 2017, it will be more expensive but a much lower mintage coin.

The 2017 SOTD was a great buy in the end. I hated it at first, ' a plain edge sovereign?!' but they soon became sought after and proved a nice addition to the collection.

I bagged one in 2017, I liked the idea of 2017 mintage compared to standard issue Roy
