Allgoldcoins were offering preorders although they've long been snapped up. I think  I saw on another thread though that you can ask to be added to their waiting list if they get a cancellation or non-payment.

Yeah apparently their waiting list is all booked up too.

they were saying yesterday that they could have easily sold double their allocation.

Going by that news I'm pretty certain Monday is going to be a cluster fudge.

I like to buy the pre-dip dip

What do we thing a sov will go for AFTER they are all sold from RM at 9.01am on Monday?

Even if you miss out at launch, there'll still be profit baked in them initially buying in secondary market once sold out, in the next month or two as the flippers need to pay their credit card bills and cash generator pawn loans. (This doesn't constitute financial advice) just opinion

Between £200 to £400 on ebay..maybe more depending on the mintages...by the greedy bunch of FLIPPERS... haha....but I'm keeping mine if I'm lucky enough to get anything.....

Yes we have 25 customers on our cancellation list, and just 2 orders not completed as yet.

There is just no way the Mint's system is not going to go bang on Monday morning.

As I said I just cannot remember this amount of interest in any new coin, even the engravers series doesn't have such wide appeal.

I hope people who buy them make some money on them, but I don't want to see them up on auction sites for double the launch price.

I’ve been following this thread with great interest and will most likely be getting as frustrated as everyone else with RM website on monday morning.

Can anyone tell me if there was this much interest when the 2002 and the 2012 Jubilee sovereign was released?

I've sent an email to your business account, so hopefully that's 26 now 😂

Really looking forward to being able to make my first buy of a new sovereign release on Monday (that's if I can even get one / navigate the RM's wesbite and payment system!)

Sorry if this has been stated already, but does anyone know the typical RRP from the Royal Mint for the individual proof sovereign?

Much less social media, forums, collectors groups, bookface, back then to whip up a frenzy of interest.  Also the world wasn't trillions in debt with double digit inflation

Let's see if the COVID bog roll bandits are out in force tomorrow along with the flippers to clear the shelves

Love it Paul, you sound as cynical as me……The bog roll bandits 😂😂😂

What sort of mintage would put you guys off getting any?

50k? Even 30k would be pushing it.

I think it could be around the 10,000 mark, give or take, just like the last special Sovereign in 2017 which was 10,500. Certainly I can’t see it being more than 15,000.

The 1989 issue was almost a flop.

I think many seasoned sovereign collectors wanted St. George and the Dragon.

The Royal Mint failed to sell out the issue limit, which is why the actual mintage is lower. *

There are many more sovereign collectors nowadays.

* It might have been because @ChardsCoinandBullionDealer were not actively involved in new issues in those days, which is a pity, because we might have been sitting on some old stock. 😎
