Three graces coin

I have had time to let things sink in here.  There must of been a lot of que jumping going on.  I was 2400 in the que with everyone only allowed one of each coin it should of been easy to get one.

IMO The RM have been done over by some some serious buyers they have set up multiple accounts and have bought multiple coins.  We will see in a few months one thing for sure i will not be buying this coin on the secondary market.  My advise to all of you DO NOT BUY THIS COIN ON THE SECONDAY MARKET.  Otherwise this will carry on and get worse in the future.

I also will be buying other coins instead, there are lots of coins to buy.  Remember to stop this frenzy is to stop buying on the secondary market at high prices.

I don't think anybody knows how the queue works.

I logged on to the Royal Mint site at 7:30 am, when I started work and got put straight on to the 'new product launch' page. It was after 9 am when I got put in the queue with more than 3,000 ahead of me. Obviously, too late for anything by then.

I think I'd have had as much chance if I logged in ten minutes before launch.

I had to click something to agree I wanted my place in the queue

Not sure exactly what the message said but If I wasn't looking I'm not sure what place I would have gotten despite opening RM up at 8:30 to wait

I went on to the Royal Mint website at 8.40am. There were over 2000 people ahead of me. Couldn’t get on to the site till 9.07am. My order still got cancelled 😂😂

It’s strange because this wasn’t my experience at all. I logged on at about 8.45 and went to a page saying ‘we are preparing a new product. You will be redirected when the site opens’. No queue as such and certainly no number position given. Then at 9am (or shortly after) the page automatically refreshed and put me straight in?

Gold already sold out though!! 5oz showed available so put one in my basket but it wouldn’t let me check it out then emptied the basket.

Yeah the Queue-IT system treats all users the same, so it doesn’t matter if you were on the site early or not.

So basically at 9:00am (I’m guessing the time it was activated) everyone on the website started fresh, so the advantage goes to the pro F5 mashers

Pardon me. I meant ,when the site opened,I was put in a queue. Before that, I was getting the same message as everyone else.

I got into a discussion with them yesterday - they made clear that they did noy buy direct from the Mint and had sourced from the secondary market. They were very keen to avoid the notion that they were driving the price, but rather, they were responding to it.

Personally, I feel what they did yesterday was the very definition of driving the price. They used their extensive resources to acquire a signfiicant number of coins and then used their profile to dictate the secondary market price.

You would never see the likes of “Atkinsons “do anything like this. I know they don’t specialise in this market. But I have seen many popular proof coins on their website, selling at a decent price.

Iv seen Britanniacoincompany are selling the 2oz three graces for a ridiculously high price. Personally I feel appalled by this. A huge wholesale company trying to take advantage of the situation and rip people off.

I understand the coins are selling quite high on ebay, but these are your average sellers with one coin. not a company.
I will not be buying anything from Britannia coin company  in the future.
@britanniacoincompany

I totally agree with you on this one it's just shame on company to be that greedy . Imagine Royal Mint selling this coins at this prices.

Has anyone actually called the RM and confirmed their order has been placed 🤔

Yes. I called. It’s been cancelled. I never got a cancellation email. So I decided to call and was told “your order has been cancelled “ a ridiculous excuse that I did not want to hear.

Could this be like GameStop with the short sellers.    Britanniacompany selling for £2750 but hoping to buy for £1250 on secondary market...... but they might not be available.    So will have to pay up to honour sales.    That would be interesting if the case

"Volatility" is nshowing the "SHORTS" are panicking (IMHO)

Exactly. Royal mint could have hiked there prices up. But didn’t. They only took a mere £55 extra. Which is completely understandable.
