That's a double sized rabbit hole I don't want to go down. I'll stick with the normal bullion, if not it the privy marks, oriental borders and all that.

I agree. Those were the only 2 privy exceptions I made to my date run. Both genuine RM Brits, sensible prices. The oriental borders I already had. Wouldn't entertain any of the others. Although I do like the plain field BUs...

I also skipped the 97 proof.

Even for a normal date run, how much would it cost from a dealer £1,500+?

Thanks. Missing 3 George's and 1 Jubilee. Eds and Old heads done. I've a few tubes of young Victoria but need to sort them out .. A lot are duplicates and I suppose I need shield and George and Dragon for each year which adds to the fun

Very good! Is it easy for you to tell in which year there was a change in colour/alloy, and how many times there were changes? It's not always easy to tell from a photograph.

You've got mint marks and die numbers to go yet, sunshine.

The Sovereign is the quintessentially British coin.  It has a German queen on the front, an Italian waiter on the back, and half of them were made in Australia.

It's fairly obvious if you look at say, one of each monarch but looking at similar years not so noticeable.

The collective noun for dragons is "thunder".  Here's 10 of them.
