Start of the day in £ terns a good £10 -£17 down and now it's closed on the up by #18 or so. It's been a eventful month for au.

Trump just hit China aka the American people with a10% tax (tariff) so oil dropped like a bomb and the market is very unhappy so pm's rise on fear...I  sure trump had it shorted just prior to announcing his tarrif.

According to BBP the price of gold is £1,191.61 per ounce and so it is a £301 sovereign!

Nothing out the ordinary. Still off people’s radar. Few I talk too about PM don’t care, even recently saying we’re at alltime high in £ doesn’t turn the light bulb on

Finding it difficult to sell gold at or very close to spot at the moment on the forum.
I assume everyone has watched the recent rises and is waiting for a fall.
I thought the same thing so sold a load of gold to HGM taking their below spot price and had I waited a week I could have bought a full ounce of gold with the higher price.
You just cannot predict prices or time the peaks and troughs.
