Do you know off hand which places do accept Amex? Turns out Bullion by Post doesn't.

I should have elaborated more, I used my Amex card for ebay. I bought a 3 coin proof sovereign set, and a 1/2 oz britannia so far. Companies like bullion by post, britannia coin company etc are on ebay.

(Cross-posting here, as it's arguably a great deal, even at these increased prices)

The half, full and three-coin sets of the 2022 proof Sovereign are back at the Royal Mint. The prices have gone up slightly, but they're still quite a bit cheaper than elsewhere: £325 for half, £600 for full, and £980 for the 3-coin set.

My order has gone through. Got 'order received' email but is that different to an 'order confirmed' email?

I doubt it'll be honoured. The 2021 sovereigns are over £40 more. So definitely a pricing error.
