Charles I (1625- 1649) Tower Mint Hammered Shillings
2 Sold- 3 remain available
Selling to concentrate and expand my Sixpence collection.
Lovely examples of nigh on, 400 year old coins- numismatically one of the most interesting periods of British coin collecting.
Prices under photographs- plus postage of buyers choice, free SD if purchasing 2 or more coins. Keenly priced.
As the country prepares to celebrate the Coronation of Charles III, I’m offering for sale a nice collection of Shillings issued during the reign of the first crowned King Charles.
Charles I ruled in one of the most tumultuous periods of British history, his Reign blighted by feud and unrest leading to Civil War, the Royalists battling Cromwell’s New Model Army, which led to Royalist defeat and Charles I eventual execution, this Regicide signifying the commencement of Britain becoming a Republic, headed by Oliver Cromwell.
Let’s hope Charles III has more luck!
