I've always been a collector of stuff like many small kids are, postcards on holidays and key rings from interesting places i've been but after a bad motorcycle accident and a house fire my priorities changed. I became free and loose with wine women n song and this is where precious metals stopped a downward spiral into marriage and children. I saved some old UK 5p pieces the old one bob (very like 5Dm coins of the time) and on  trips to west Germany i bought several porn mags from the vending machines at motorway services. Good times were had drinking in Germany and the mags helped pay for the trips. On a later trip to Berlin after the wall i was walking around a flee market and spotted some old reich marks and some Bismark metals going very cheap so i bought them and quickly sold them on too. Unfortunatly the old coins buy turned into getting any coins gold or silver from home or abroad to turn a profit. A pocket full did make for some very good holidays in europe. The lads holidays away stopped but the coins have remained.
A few years ago i made the biggest mistake / regret of my collecting life i sold nearly all of my collection and bought some gold. I have since rebought most of it
Today i'm a collector of mainly silver and more recently gold. I still buy any old / new coin i like but now i keep most of it, I'll trade with a small group of friends into metals to get what i like.
I do like the Perth Mint products with their three lunar series, kooks and wedge-tailed eagles favorites. Annual typeset collections of these and other coins keep me away from the pub like the old days but i still go to music gigs in europe and bring back some gold bullion hidden in my wallet. I never go anywhere without some empty filps in there too.

These are past auctions from “The coin cabinet”. He is comparing sale prices for these coins in the last 4 auctions to show the movement in price.

The only new Queens Beasts coin appears to be a 5 kg gold, which probably won’t affect me.

    Sell it...
I'm not a lover either. I don't know what is is with me, I think I may have particularly greasy hands but every time I decide to take even bog standard bullion out of its cap, it seems to leave some sort of cr*ppy mark. Even just once. I think I need to wear gloves or just carry on collecting the older pieces. If I get gloves, I have crossed that mental threshold of becoming a serious collector (which I'm not) so older bits it is.

This is this year's one ounce Brit. Opened once. It arrived with a hair stamped on her chin, makes it look like the queen has a goatee (which I quiet liked) and now a dirty great finger mark on her face.
So after my mini rant I say sell.
Everyone keeps telling me if yo can't hold it you don't own it!
I know I should probably get gloves.

Please do..I'm curious what the RM plan to do with so many sets going back. I've been hearing the sets people are sending back that  they are just sending out rejected sets they receive to other customers that have returned their sets? If so that is completely unacceptable, unprofessional and disgusting...they should re-strike the 300 sets they advertised even if it means a financial loss to the RM...as they should have struck them to proof standard without any milkspots.hairline scratches..box's that were damaged....their QC dept for what it is..nobody knows and I'm guessing from the feed back they have a blind 90 year old at the bottom of his garden,in a shed approving their coins.....

I've never seen any comments, reactions on here from the RM...which tells us everything....they don't give a S@$T.....as long as we are buying their silver proof coins in disgusting conditions..and they are charging us sky high premiums for their inferior products this will go on and on...future coins, sets they design and put out...knowing full well they are totally inferior products but as long as we keep buying them for £££££$$$$$$$$ and we buy them instead of saying.."up yours, stick your milkspotted proofs up your a#@e...they will continually knock em out and people will buy them hoping they get what they are paying for....as I said...and many others are starting to realise and won't buy from the RM..."GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER OR LOSE CUSTOMERS"...

05 July 2021: I just want to share my experience with importing Valcambi gold bars x 2 packs, for under £5k, into the UK. I’m a private collector and have NEVER imported gold into the UK before, but it was approx £230+ cheaper to purchase in EUR & ship to the UK, even after a 2% credit card fee! UPS was the Carrier. I was shocked & scared when they emailed me an Investment Gold Declaration to complete - having never done this before - and reached out to coininvest dot com about what I should do! They told me to sign the form and add the following in my return email to UPS:
“I purchased VAT-exempt investment gold for private use as defined in paragraph 2.1 of HMRC Notice 701/21 and as a consequence I should not be charged any import duties or VAT. The purchase was made as a private customer, hence I will not be able to provide any EORI or similar number.”
I hope my experience will help someone who finds themselves in a similar situation.

Right I'm not mucking about anymore- You can email directly the head of customer service at the mint, (use the email address below if you cant find it on the website) so I have sent this: Feel free to use my template too.

Queens Beasts 2021 ten coin 2 ounce set
Dear Sir or Madam,   I am writing to let you know how disappointed I was in the quality of the above set I recently received from the Royal Mint and then had to return.   This a brilliant series and I have collected almost of the coins and I was delighted to obtain one of these very limited sets.  When it arrived immediately I noticed something wrong with a large number of the coins- they were covered in little milk spots, much the same as a decorators radio, if you have ever seen one.   For such a prestige set of coins surely this not acceptable?  I am a member of the silver forum, and there is a thread on there where we share images of these coins that we receive. Nearly all of the people on there complained about this same problem- spotting on proof coins. I would recommend you read this thread- https://www.thesilverforum.com/topic/50701-queens-beasts-set/ to see for yourself the multiple issues experienced by the purchasing members.   What will happen to my returned set now? As so many of the sets have experienced problems will you be re-striking these coins to honour your customers? I do hope so. How could these coins have been sent out, given that the spotting was obvious to anyone looking? Is quality control in need of improvement?   Please take action on this issue as I would hate to be put off from purchasing proof coins from the mint in the future.   Yours sincerely,

I  wonder if they should strike x amount of additional coins beyond the stated mintage, just to allow for error. Then obviously melt the fault coins and spares after 30 days or something.
Better still, get things right first time. Look to Perth Mint, or Royal Canadian Mint and find out how they addressed the milking issue.
Maybe as The 1100 year old Royal Mint, they would never openly ask another mint for advice? Maybe such information is sensitive and other mints wouldn't hand out to those possibly perceived as rivals? Perhaps hire moles to work in other mints and steal their anti milking technology 🤷‍♂️
Or perhaps they aren't concerned, as long is things keep selling... Surely that's not the case though? Maybe they don't have the resources to upgrade facilities?
All these perhaps and maybes are hurting my head now 😣

Well that's NOT funny - they had darn well better make some more.
I've been working all day and some of the evening and would have bought one right now if they were available on that link!
It doesn't say that they are limited mintage - and I want one!
    Damn you, Royal Mint...
In the meantime, be good boys and girls and release the 10 oz bullion version and let me buy one.
