I screwed up again. Thanks I need to do more research.
I think when it comes to coins there is always more to learn and no one knows it all, thats where a community like this comes in handy as if you dont know someone else here likely will.

Not a huge fan of numismatic coins myself, but that "IOM 1oz gold angel" is very impressive alone. The Angel defeating the dragon (devil / snake) is incredible to me alone. It's very expensive over spot, but that coin speaks to me personally. I don't like dragon / snake (themed) coins at all really myself due to being very Christian / Catholic alone at times, but that coin is incredible nonetheless. Thanks for sharing that here - incredible coin.
All the above coins are just bullion not numismatic, they carry a slightly higher premium but they can be picked up not too far over spot.

I was reading this not realising it was an old thread until the last couple of posts. Was just saying to the mrs about it and that i think its a good idea but don’t trust these independent app companies as if they go bump so does your money. I hope no one looses too much!
@mr-dead did you carry on using glint?
i really like the concept but i think I’d only trust it if it was my actual bank - but can’t see mainstream banks linking money to gold again any time soon. The Royal Mint could surely develop something like this though.
At one point I had a few thousand in there, as of today when I read posts about it I only had under a tenner in my account which I spent online this morning

@mr-dead Looks like they fit like a glove!
Stunning display case buddy!
Thank you for the opportunity to make it for you!
The bar and round are both great pours.
Highly recommend everyone to grab a hammered round if you have the option as I know early signs are already pointing to demand outstripping supply.

Thanks to @BackyardBullion for creating this Gairsoppa shipwreck recovered silver hand poured bar and round.
The bar is just over 1kg at 1075g
The hammered round is also Gairsoppa silver at 5.05oz and is designed as a tribute to the Bombay Mint stamp on the orignal 1000+ oz bars sunk then recovered.
The wooden box is an ebay cheap one with a 3D printed insert I designed, printed then flocked for a smooth velvet feel.
The QR code takes you to BYB's pouring video on YouTube and it also contains a micro SD card with hi-res images, videos and forum links to the bars creation process for provenance.

They just did a story on the increasing gold price on the BBC 1 Breakfast show flashing about a 1g bar and a gold sovereign.
Hopefully we'll start getting more of the public jumping on the stacking train and those cash for gold shops will soon start popping up all over the place.

Just grabbed a 2nd 10oz Gairsoppa, was up for £299 and put in a cheecky offer of £220 and got it for £230
I will re-felt the box as there is a tear in the original.
Currently thinking I should grab another 10oz + a couple of 1oz gairsoppa britannia and do a commision with backyard bullion to create the world first 1kg Gairsoppa bar.

Love those! Do they still come with quite a premium?
I paid £250 for it on Ebay, a bit of a premium but not insane considering its a bit of WWII shipwreck history (bars were made from recovered silver from the wreck)
