Very nice! I reserved a half, the full was too expensive for me. 

I didn't care about proofs at all, until I got a 1980 proof half from someone on the forum, it's developed a fire inside me. 

I probably would have just got a bullion, but since there's been no mention of bullion releases, I thought I'd get the proof, just in case they are only proof and BU releases

They didn’t exist. The Mint seems to like chucking any old sovereign coin in to make up the 2 box sets as it gets rid of old stock. Anyone with other suggestions?

That thought did quickly cross my mind, but the Platinum Jubilee sovereign was a sell-out. Perhaps they could always strike some more for a 2 box set but I don’t think that would be fair play to everyone who had to pay significantly more for them on the secondary market. I guess we’ll find out soon.

I’d have an outside bet on the Queen Consort, but she’s more likely to come into play at the Coronation.
