Didn't realise this was coming. Hopefully these 1/40oz coins will become more common across other themes.

Very tempted to buy but gold value is only £40! A Premium of 150% seems excessive

Probably because the 1/40th carded Britannia was pretty popular, pity they stopped them🤔😮

More likely to do with the more recent success of the Coronation and 75th birthday 1/40oz coins that came in the same packaging.

Yeah the coronation one did really well. Last time I checked I think they were going for £115 on eBay (I’m sure they are more now)

I cant remember but were the coronation ones £99.00?

I'm sure they were less, could be wrong though

It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.

Probably, the 1/40 are popular, just a pity about the size! Would have been nice if the Britannia had been in this style of packaging, much better🤔

🤔but you have to have one……😮

I got three 🤣

Great little coins if you like them and a lot of detail in them too, but I flipped them.... I'll not be getting the dragon ones as it wont be worth the hassle to flip unless they go for a higher price and it can be hit and miss.... but I do actually like them, wonder if they will make the Dragon a bullion version?

All they are doing is some expensive gold ones, an expensive silver one and a bunc🤔

Missed out on the 1/4 proof so it’s either 1/40th or 1oz version 😂

I actually like these smaller fractional coins that come in a card or blister. I wouldn’t obviously go crazy on them but nice to have 1-2 from special series or occasions.

I said I like it didn’t say I would get it! 🤣

Fractional gold coins are pricey even worse via the royal mint. Folks already selling the 1/4 dragon proof on eBay.

In other news just seen Atkinsons promoting the new Noah Ark 2024 coin. I actually quite like the design this year but not something I stack/collect.

I got two and graded one. Lots of details on such a small coin- puts the bigger coins to shame.

I bought the 1/4oz Gold purely because there was a mintage of 388. Let’s see how well it grades.  Be rude not to have a few 1/40 babies for it.
