So the Fed needs to make an interest rate decision next week.  Given their hikes have precipitated this crisis (essentially reducing the value of Bonds held by banks) it will be telling to see what they do.  How will this impact Gold in GBP - I am not sure I can predict…

consensus seems to be no change in US rate
if BOE raise this may put a lid on GBP price due to weakening dollar
but should the fallout spread then further safe haven buying would negate that
So I haven't a clue😀

Can you send me a 1/4 Oz of bitcoin please, I will pay on receipt,as buying from frogs on the internet is dicey at best.

I would not count your chickens lads.
The fed have bailed out the two banks in question & this reeks of FUD to me.
Having said that bond yields have crashed so thats always good for gold.

The good part is the dip that was occurring could dip a lot further if this is a false flag and there is no run on the banks. :)
£14-15 silver would be nice & £300-£320 a SOV.. 😛

Central bankers are politicians disguised as economists or bankers. They’re either incompetent or liars. So, either way, you’re never going to get a valid answer.” - Peter Schiff

Sound money is not a guarantee of a free society, but a free society is impossible without sound money. We are currently a society enslaved by debt.

WOW. Im certainly not risking a buy the dip on that!
Glad im sat on the sidelines with all this as quite a few tech stocks could get hammered.
Well anything with enough debt in regional banks anyway.

Edit - opened an hour early - that gets me every time!! ;)

It’s sort of a self fulfilling prophecy- stock goes down and people yank money out of the bank compounding the problem.  CS down around 8pct.

Gold is up but I suspect is going to be a bit volatile until we see more around how the US handles the issue.  Looks like it will protect deposits and let the shareholders and bond holders take the hit.  Overall helps a bit with confidence.
