For me I just send SD only.  It’s not with the blowback if something goes missing.

Selling on here most of us sell excluding postage charges and leave it upto the buyer to choose the method and risk.
If I was buying from a trusted member I wouldn't bother with signed-for.  These days it costs £1.40 for letter/larger letter rate.  I would trust that the member posts it and I wouldn't need confirmation of receipt and neither would the seller if it's at my own risk.  As you mentioned, a lot of post doesn't even get scanned.  Royal Mail has introduced a 2D barcode system for both letter and parcels where they're supposed to be scanned on delivery and applies to any postage purchased online.  Alternative to signed-for where a sig isn't needed (no sig during covid anyway) and again, a lot doesn't get scanned.
I did a brief write up some time again with some numbers and stats about Signed-for and Special and whether as a buyer it was worth it.  Only SD is insured and for low value items it's not wroth it because it'll be a high % of the cost.  Signed-for isn't insured and the £1.40s/£1s will add up if there are a lot of small value parcels.

Somewhere out there is a fake 1934 wreath crown, or more specificially a re-engraved date one.
Going back to about the 1965 to 1968 period, we used to get a regular visit, perhaps monthly, by a man from Southport called Wheeler.
He was always looking to buy wreath crowns, but only those from 1930 to 1936.
The other coins he wanted to buy included pennies from 1862 to 1868, halfpennies from 1870 to 1879, Edward halfcrowns from 1902 to 1909.
Typical coins he owned and was offering for sale included the above mentioned 1934 crown, 1869 pennies, 1871 halfpennies, and 1905 halfcrowns. These are all the key dates in their series.
It is very unusual for collectors to own all the key dates, but be looking to buy most of the common in a series, and this fact raised my suspicions. I had also noticed that some of his rare date coins looked to have have some "work" done around their dates.
Further, in the wreath crown series, he was never interested in any dated from 1927 to 1929. Similarly, he avoided 1910 halfcrowns, 1860 and 1861 pennies, which are a different variety from the 1869, and the same pattern with Victoria young head halfpennies.
We used to have a local competitor and fellow dealer called Peter Ireland, and I spoke to him about Wheeler. At first Peter seemed happy with the coins he had bought from Wheeler, but he was happy to re-check, and also to have a closer look at any subsequent coins he was offered by Wheeler.
This co-operation paid off, as on his next visit to Blackpool, Peter and I both identified highly suspicious coins in Wheeler's stock. We called the police, Wheeler confessed, was convicted and went to jail.
When he was arrested, and his home searched, there was no trace of the 1934 crown.
I called in to a Blackpool jeweller, a man called Fielding who ran Regan's jewellers, and I asked about various coins including a 1934 crown. He retreived the coin from his back room, I examined it, and could easily identify it as the same fake that Wheeler had offered to me. When I told Fielding this, he went into denial, even though I was able to tell him the name of the seller, and more details about the case. Fielding seemed clueless about the fact that I was one of two local numismatic coin dealers. I believe he subsequently sold the coin to an unsuspecting sucker, made a profit, avoided a loss, but lost any respect from me. I also informed Peter Ireland about this.
This was not the last time I have known jewellers to sell fake coins, sometimes in ignorance, sometimes in full knowledge. It is a very common occurrence.
I am still waiting for the faked 1934 crown to re-surface. If I do get to see it again, it will be very interesting when it's owner asks how and what I know about it.

I ordered mine from Westminster as it's cheaper than buying direct from EIC, had an email from Westminster stating delayed but should be dispatched 8/6, we'll see!
EIC web-site is all over the place along with their statements on sold out/last few coins then reappearing with loads more stock, the first coin in the series "Victory" now has 190+ coins available when stated sold out not long ago, this created a wave of price increases on the secondhand flippers market on Ebay. I'll keep my thoughts to myself but i smell a rat...

And how glorious to see the BTC head and shoulders Ponzi 2.0 and I called it same c**p as in 2017-18 with the name musk replacing mcafee, there will be a 3.0 too LOL but it might be over, there wont be many new idiots ready to risk it or will there, maybe there will. The world is a very stupid place.

Edit: No offence to anyone who's suffering losses with crypto, I was one of them in 2018 admittedly before I said never again I took a significant loss and if I had have held on till now could have done well but couldn't care less for it it's nonsense in my opinion, happy to see the market reflect this and it was so obvious this would happen  Crypto is so corrupted and corruptable, just not realistic like metals are and will be in 1000 years

The danger is leaving money in the Bank, wealthy people spread the risk not only in shares/crypto but by having a diverse portfolio in fact anything that can potentially hold value. What we deem as expensive is pocket money to others, you only have to watch documentaries on Las Vegas casinos to realise there are some seriously wealthy people by my standards.

When it does happen Pete. I will look at making an amendment to the foam base for those that want it of course, I'm already working on a solution for the 1oz proof collectors to adapt the foam to accommodate 11 coins. There is space for this on all the boxes I've produced, in the case of the 10oz the simplest most cost effective solution will be to place 6 coins in the base, which will then allow the completer to sit in the middle of the removeable wooden tray and be the center piece. So its not the end of the world for any of my customers. Just got to wait and see and give me the time to sort out a solution when the time comes...

With a mintage of 7k all depends if you prefer it in the box or slab, i prefer them in the box myself but i wonder how many will get graded? If and when my 5oz silver arrives i have the same dilemma but with a lot smaller mintage i might go the grading route. I wonder what others will think, grade or leave alone!!!
