I am not making it up!  It was some sort of scam of course.  Possibly a bot sending mails to many accounts based on a key word.
    Made me chuckle

I sometimes sell unwanted non PM items on eBay.
My personal peeve is the generally rude tone that people use when asking questions about an item for sale.…
”It’s listed for more than you are gonna get so I will offer you half - take it or leave it”
”Do you post to Ghana”.  I was selling a lawn mower…
”Can we do a deal off eBay - can send a cheque”
On a brand new MacBook Pro that was cellophane sealed “can u open it bruv wanna see its gen”

Load up on as many 2022 bullion sovereigns as you can comfortably afford to buy.

How many of us wished we’d loaded up on  a few tubes of 2012 sovereigns back then.

Is no one drinking their Rum 🙂
The trouble is once you drink any half decent rum the cheaper stuff just tastes like antiseptic 😝

Your surprised? - this is a stacking forum full of people that buy things and put them in a safe.
This IMO is a better investment - last least I dont have an expensive doorstop & can actually drink this stuff.

Agreed - but not if you have a 50 litre home column still - never worked it out but triple distilled costs me about 20-50p a litre.
If I carbon filtered it it would knock the socks off any half decent premium spirit - even grey goose!!

Will depend a lot on if they are graded.  Current trend seems to be that PF70's can go for up to 25% premium even over PF69 examples.  I have a 2002 PF70 and want a 1989 but the current price on those is too high for me.  I don't generally buy graded and only have 3 graded coins, two of which I only bought because they were the same price as raw.

Generally proofs maintain their value through condition. For the more valuable proofs grading both confirms the condition and also the slab protects the coin. For cheaper proofs grading is potentially not as beneficial.

Ordinarily it would be safe to say that the 2022 will do well, just like all the others. With or without the Queen passing, these will all stand out as special design sovereigns regardless of the commemoration.
That said, if RM were to churn out special designs more frequently, it may take the gloss off the existing ones. At a guess, the next design could be 2026 for the Queens (potentially would-be) 100th birthday. Hopefully there isn't one any sooner than that. Although there's bound to be more SOTD and privy mark versions.
No one has a crystal ball though. Looking at the future plans from the WEF, combined with the state of affairs across the world, who knows what the future market will look like. Maybe we will all be proudly discussing ownership of NFTs instead, sadly.

You need the right person, at the right time, at the right price to make sell proof sovereigns.
Sadly, that buyer may not be there when you want to raise cash quick.
Proofs, you may need to wait a day a week a month for the right person.
Proofs CAN be profitable, but common bullion will ALWAYS have a buying market, if the price is right

There are reserves, you only find out what it is when the coin is passed. One or two being passed tonight, even a 1/10th.
