I can't believe my luck tbh - sent back my 50z silver to the mint only yesterday!

The gold is on the coin dealer I bought through as well though, as they even said they check them before sending them out.

Anyway, preaching to the choir here haha. 👍

My milky 2oz silver is at the RM. They received it over a week ago. Not sure what the hold-up is as a new order was created last week. Hopefully this means they are actually striking new replacement coins.

Hopefully your coin dealer can liaise and get you a perfect replacement?

In terms of secondary/resale value, saw one of the 2oz Gold coins on Facebook for £7k today. Don’t know if that’s good/bad but hadn’t sold when I saw it a while ago

I believe so, but the second coin won't be until next year.

Love it. But a medal becoming a coin, in two releases is just hard to swallow given the current royal mint customer care. Also given the spot rise expect a mind blowing price increase.

The RAM recently had to withdraw coins from sale as the proofs were selling for less than spot 🤣

Any ideas on release date for this? What an incredible coin. I hope its not due for a while, will need to save a bit for this.

Inverse looks much better realised than the reverse. But could just be picture resolution

Aaaahhh😉

I have tbh and say a 2 coin set ruins the release for me as it did the petition crown, both of which rely on being reproduced in their original form and that is even more true of the Waterloo Medal. The medal has been produced before in full by the Royal Mint and there have been a number of other limited editions over the years in silver and gold which for me provide better value and a more acurate reproduction?

Totally agree and I’ve said as much in the other topic. Not forgetting that previous releases were also larger in diameter, closer to the original, and certainly better sized to appreciate such an intricate design.

My Two 2oz are on their way out one posted yesterday and one in progress, spoke to the RM last week and they said the new strikes where happening on the 22nd.

Fingers crossed these are perfect!!

Thanks for the update. I’m still waiting for my milky 2oz replacement. 😓

My replacement 2oz is apparently also on the way... Got the email notification minutes after speaking to my acc manager about a different issue, where she confirmed, "we are waiting for this to be struck and will then be sent out to you"...

Talk about efficiency!!! :D

Replacement 2oz silver arrived... going right back again! :(

At this rate, it's going to cost them the full value of this coin on postage charges alone!

Missing frosting from some of the lettering and scratch marks and damage around the rim of the obverse.

Mine arrived as well. Both are struck of centre, causing problems, is yours the same?

Yet to receive my initial 2 OZ. RM stating delays in production for these.... hopefully it will be OK when it finally arrives

You could get one of these ones coming out now, I was told that they where minted on the 22nd to be sent out for the returns that they had had on the original run.

If you look at both the coins I have had, they have the same issue on the reverse with the cushioning on the reverse above QUI MAL, which in turn has caused edge and obverse issues on the same location.

It is just a guess however I would think there will be a few that look like these.

Such a stunning coin... I'm going to keep requesting a replacement until I get a perfect one!

These are relatively minor imperfections, but I've paid too much not to expect better.

Totally agree. Price per once demands perfection.
