On your website you state the proof sovereigns and sets will be released on 6th May, are you sure about this?  I thought they were going to be released sometime after the Coronation?

We have not given any exact release dates, I don't know them, only to say that all these coins will be released around the time of the Coronation +/- days or a few weeks.

My guess would be a big launch of everything on 24 April, then SOTD sovereigns going on sale on the actual Coronation weekend.

A lot of coins will be released on the day it’s gonna be mayhem

It's going to be mayhem for my wallet as well by the looks of things. I wish they'd be a lot more specific about what sets they intend on releasing, if any.

Do we also have the crowned portrait for the SoTD coronation sovereign? This would make it quite special!

Considering the phrasing, the strike on the day sovereigns will have the crowned portrait as they say they're part of the Coronation Collection. Not only that but also the following quote makes me think that all of the coronation sovereigns will be using the crowned portrait, as they're surely part of the Coronation Collection:

The rest of the Coronation Sovereign collection will be released later in the year and will be available in a variety of Proof editions.

I like this.

It’s a looker and great colour! Presumably using 9999 gold. Last time I saw ‘One Hundred Pounds’ it was on a gold 1oz Britannia. Just checked with Customer Services to ask if the coin is 22ct or 9999. Reply was …’we do not have that information ATM’ ! Apologies if it was obvious to everyone else.🥱

I think we can be pretty certain they are 9999 gold - hence the superb colour.

They are 9999 in the Gazette Proclamation.

Looks like he is fed up with the whole thing. Why should he be any different to the rest of us!

Looks like either the crown is too tight or Camilla's given him a whack round the back of the head with her broomstick!

It's very weird because his portrait is very realistic but the crown a copy-and-paste vector graphic. In real life this could look like a plastic toy crown rather like a real one.

Nevertheless I probably still will buy the coins
