Worth its weight in gold! Family's new truffle-hunting puppy digs up 15 sovereign coins worth £6,000 on its FIRST walk

HMMMM 🤔very clean for dug up sovs.... but it must be real, its in the papers!!!!!

It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.

If this happened to anyone here - would you be telling anyone, let alone announcing to the country via a tabloid rag?

I can't be the only one who would pick them up, walk home with a smile on my face and a spring in my step, pop them with the rest and say no more about it. Surely.

Obviously if it was actual declarable treasure that's different, but modern sovs?! Equally if I read that a fundraiser for the local orphanage had mislaid said sovereign then I'd happily hand them over.

Otherwise, mum's the word. Does that make me a bad guy?

The article says the valuation was done by Chards.

So it does!

I noticed it said "Mr Clark, who works in property, took the coins to be examined by Chards in Blackpool, one of the country’s leading gold dealers, which valued them at £5,943.96."

What do they mean "one of"?
