I see the membership slowly creeping to the 20k, and was wondering how much TSF members hold as a collective. Just at an ounce a piece would mean 4-5 tonnes. I have heard some members have four poster bed made out of the stuff!

I'm not so sure. People on TSF are a funny bunch.  Members who are so attached to their stack would take with them on holidays. There are so many testimonies of members losing their stacks on tragic boating trips. Do you not believe us !!? 🙄

Well, given the unfortunate frequency of tragic boating accidents experienced by members of the forum, I imagine it would be quite a job to calculate. You'd obviously have to consider 'safe on land' vs. 'lost at sea' tonnage, in order to get reasonably close.

I dont hold any silver just pieces of paper on COMEX - I lost all my physically on my up blow Dinghy, used all my puncture patches on dolly you see. So I just thought id use the comex instead so I dont have to lump metals around. Im looking forward to cashing them for delivery when silver hits 9209218309218039812093801 an oz😁

You would think we'd learn after the first tragic boating accident, that silver does not float!

Last trip out, I put little life jackets on each 1oz piece, but alas, all were lost. Sad times.

Anyway to give the op full context - @James32 modelled his house on Basra palace which has gold taps sinks and lavs. 

@Darr3nG has modelled his abode on the  Sultan of Brunei's

Collectively they have 79882349 metric tonnes between them!

May be worth adding a poll, with these options? @ady

My guess is 'A stack' will get most hits, so possibly break that down further into incremental amounts?

I know this topic / thead is posted under

When I first read it the title, I thought it referred to gold, but when I read the first entry, I thought "what is this guy talking about?".

Its always a good idea to specify and clarify, particularly in written communication.

I now assume, that @ady is asking about silver.

How about extending it to gold, platinum and palladium?
